Perfect date for a man with anxiety disorder
jonathanclliu22 October 2019
The conversation and pace were so calm, that the deep cut on Rob's arm seemed like a paper cut.

Interesting is the whole event was on IG as a live play with multiple acts.

Hope the whole event was not an imagination by Rob, who just moved into a tiny apartment in NYC ...

Surprisingly Good

It took a while to get into it, but I loved how it grew and honest it got between them. Weather it's friendship or love, it works.

This? or That?

Warning: Spoilers
So there's a conceit in this episode, where the characters keep asking each other to choose between two things. I feel like this has become a trope in "romantic" movies. I liked the premise of connecting with someone in a kind of parenthetical moment -- when time is suspended and you are completely honest with each other. But I just didn't believe the woman as a character. She said all the right things. Was calm. Sweet. Had no problem with her bloody dress. But I kept wondering where in the world did they meet and how did they end up together for the night? Why did she choose him? These questions kept pestering me through the whole thing.

Loved it

Well, this was also a great story. Two people with different background, different life but the same main problem: insecurity. This is a story that I would love to see it more. And I found the chemistry of the two really good. The two characters complement one another like two sides of a coin.

Friendship Love

Well, this one certainly inspired by Before Sunset and After Sunrise. However, this one is so unique that it stood out in the series for me personally. Becoming a couple is about being with someone who wants to be with you, however different they are.

Male voice
emmasbm24 August 2021
Every episode of Modern Love so far has been unique and a show I will recommend... Though, one thing intruded on my immersive enjoyment of this episode... Yasmine's, dialogue sounded very male-scriptive... it wasn't a bad or an incorrect scene, but I couldn't help but feel distanced by what seemed like a man writing a woman's narrative. The story felt accurate but it sounded like the writer was told a woman's experience and then wrote it from his own eyes... and missed the deeper female perspective... It felt like an interpretation of the male gaze or a superficial writer... But actors were amazing, good story and better than I could do... Just didn't convince me.

Loved this one.

Super sweet busy couldn't get over the face that she never changed out of the blood dress. Like while he was in surgery, or when she went to his place to grab him clothes. She could have borrowed something from him. It would stink and she would have dried blood on her skin under the dress. That was my only complaint with this one.

Opposites hoping to attract
samanthawhite8 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I don't see these two working out - she is confident (kind of), openly loves attention, focuses on her looks and how her life appears to outsiders (social media) and he is an "average" guy who is jovial but self-deprecating.

It felt like she was just dating him as a way to get her foot back in the door without getting hurt. I mean only 3 weeks she and her previous bf broke up over her constant need for gratification from strangers and not respecting her bf not wanting her eye sexing other guys as a way to have them pay attention to her.

I want Rob to have his happy ending and find the girl who loves his love, he seems like he as a lot to give to the right gal but Yasmine doesn't make sense for him. The ending was also disappointing..

Finding love and meaning happens at the hospital!
blanbrn22 February 2020
This episode 5 from season one of "Modern Love" called "At the Hospital an Interlude of Clarity" is one that's interesting and intimate and it shows how love can happen thru fate and accidents! It involves Rob a guy who suffers a cut in his NYC apartment with his date and it's thru the blood and fall from the couch onto the glass then the trip and hospital journey he discovers meaning with his girl. Overall good episode that lived up to it's title as it brought clarity.

Rinse the blood out of your dress!!

Warning: Spoilers
She had time to at least rinse the blood out of her dress at the hospital. She just let it dry! They have the chemistry of a patient and a nurse. I wondered who paid her to be there.

Danish or strudel?
sha-6629425 November 2020
I enjoyed the lighthearted nature of this episode and as someone who is incredibly clumsy, I found it fairly believable that a date could end up in A&E. The only things that bugged me were: her bloody dress (WHY did he use it to cover his arm/WHY did she continue to wear it) and when she asked 'danish or strudel?' and he said 'danish' but she gave him the strudel...

Oh! How'll you find adjectives for each episodes everytime.

They're all so good. Some people relating to some specific episodes more, while others are meant for maybe some other section of people. But nonetheless, all episodes are gems for everyone to cherish and this is no exception either.

I'll fail to explain my emotions, so there's no point trying any further..

Dull & Disappointing
kutamentoring20 October 2019
There was no chemistry between the two leads and the story between them wasn't nearly as powerful or poignant as found in earlier episodes. Dull and unmoving.

Amazing Direction of Love to Live In...

A Beautiful way of showing Maturity in a Relationship. Tom Hall has amazingly portrayed how a Mature Smart Loving Relationship is supposed to be Lived.

Good series, bad episode
thatcahoonwoman6 May 2020
The acting in this episode is strange, dead, and stilted. The story is pretty good, but the acting is just like two dead fish being flopped around against their will.
