NEWSY is the exception and non-combative news presentation
Finding out what is going on requires watching several news and opinion programs on various networks hoping that when the day is done I have an overview of factually what actually or factually has taken place is taking place and various informed opinions about them. I couple that with reading several newspapers and news magazines. Then I try to digest it all, hoping I end up with my own informed views.
NEWSY does not have a bunch of pundits. The pretty much simply deliver what has occurred with some comment to give a perspective. If there is a televised speech or address they run it without interruption or talking over. There is some discussion afterwards but not to tell you what you just heard but to highlight some areas of interest.
When there are interviews they are not combative but they can be politely insistent. The interviewee is given the opportunity to answer/respond but is politely not allowed to dodge or the dodge in professionally highlighted.
The presenters and correspondence are professional and informed, but get this, they do not profess to be omniscient or authoritative, they are there to get and share information. On rare occasion the presenter or a reporter might reveal a personal posture or position but it's not with an attitude or as an advocate.
My impression is that NEWSY does strive "to inform, not to influence". The programing is limited, thus, I watch other networks and read various sources of information and opinion.
