The end song is "White Wine Spritzer," performed by metal band Okilly Dokilly. Footage is from the official music video. Okilly Dokilly is heavily inspired by Ned Flanders in the way they dress and the lyrics for their songs. In fact, "White Wine Spritzer" is inspired by lines Flanders gave in Season 10's Viva Ned Flanders (1999).
Couch gag: The legs of the Simpsons' children are shown in the style of My Three Sons (1960) with the title "My Three Kids".
Okilly Dokilly is the second Simpsons-inspired band to be featured in the end credits of Simpsons. The other band is Fall Out Boy, named after the sidekick of Radioactive Man.
Quotes by F. Scott Fitzgerald:
- "Great art is the contempt of a great man for small art."
- "Show me a hero and I'll write you a tragedy."
- "Never confuse a single defeat with a final defeat."
- "There are no second acts in American lives."
Groundskeeper Willie enters the stage and announces "I'm here to audition for the part of Macbeth." It is a fairly strict tradition/superstition never to say the name "Macbeth" in a theatre, but rather to refer to it as "the Scottish play" (unless, of course, "Macbeth" is the play that is being produced) however given the fact that he was auditioning for the title character he likely was auditioning for said play.
