Not what I expected at all in the best way possible.
I am a huge fan of documentaries and a huge Jason Mraz fan and expected this to be a "for the fans only" kind of movie. With musical performances highlighting music from his new album. Of course its got that too, but more importantly its an excellent documentary about music and arts education programs and that's what it really is more than a Jason Mraz promo film. What a surprising bonus that was. I believe I MAY have heard one expletive in a song lyric, but other than that its a wholesome family event. Its also the first film in quite a long time that I wanted to go and tell everyone I've ever met that they need to go see it immediately. Unfortunately it was a one-time only event in theaters. I do hope to see it show up on Blu-ray, DVD or for sale digitally because people need to see this movie. It at least needs to be made available on a streaming site like Hulu or Netflix. I was also very pleased to learn that all money from tickets sales tonight is going to arts education programs. Very inspiring and I think it could inspire a very young person interested in pursuing an artistic career path. But its a great film for anyone. Especially music lovers and lovers of uplifting documentaries.
