A very important episode

Tells you so much about depression and what it's like to be young and lost. Rue is truly an amazing character and her story is just so real and heartbreaking. Not my favourite episode but certainly one of the best. This show is just incredible. Thank you so much HBO for telling us these kind of stories... as always you are the best TV producer on the market.

Best episode of the season

I can say that this is my favorite episode of euphoria! That was incredible written. I think Zendaya was remarkable in this one. Not only the timing of her physicality when she was maniacal but also the numbness of depression that she portrayed so damn well.

A heartbreakingly beautiful tale

I've wanted to write a review of this show for a while now, but until today, I just haven't had the drive. The one-star reviewers often express confusion regarding the series' intended audience. Full disclosure, then: I'm a buttoned-down, professional, 38-year-old mom who enjoys (largely) jazz, film noir from the 40's, and Stanley Kubrik. I really, really like this show. I was wary to say I love it until today. But I might. This episode cut to the core in ways that very little else ever has. I see me or a part of someone else I've loved in almost every character on the screen. It's haunting, it's inspiring, and this episode twisted me up inside in a way good television is meant to. If it doesn't make you FEEL something, then what's the point?

I may not give the entire series ten stars, but this episode is deserving.

Best episode yet - mostly depression and manic behavior!

To me this show gets better and better as it goes on! Rue (Zendaya) deals with so much turmoil, I won't spoil just wanna point out that the drama in this series is just as good the movie "Requiem for a Dream", even if it's not the next Emmy season at least in the next one it deserves at least a few nods. Sam Levinson is an incredible writer/director no matter what anyone says. I love what Euphoria has become.

WOW - just wow

This episode hit home so hard. Rue's experience of her mental state and how LOW the low really gets. I most say this show has proved itself to really grasp and portray raw emotions so fu*king amazingly. I absolutely love this show! Hands down one of the best shows I've seen in a while. I must applaud, well fu*king done.

Stunning

Warning: Spoilers
This episode had several moments that made me want to stands up and cheer for two reasons:

1. The moment was just epic, like the confrontation between Nate and Fezco. 2. The filmmaking was just immaculate.

Many people will just dismiss this show as been nothing but "shock value," but don't. This show is awesome.

Heartbreaking

This episode had me immersed in each storyline wearing my emotions at the fullest, the anxiety and sadness I felt throughout this ep left me numb. Cassie's intro was impeccable and perfectly acted. Jules always mesmerizing and Rue... no words. This one is up there with Shook One: Pt II, probably higher.

I hate nate jacobs with a burning passion in my soul which is probably a positive thing because the characters are portrayed so well. i really am enjoying this show. Rue's character reminds me of a lot of stuff i've been through. not just this episode but the whole show. i'm 22 years old and ALL of this is just too real.

Most intense episode, so far
funnycommentor1 March 2022
The plot of that episode was very interesting. Rue, Jules and Cassie were the highlights of that episode. Zendaya's acting was AMAZING, in that episode. The club scene, was so intense and I felt so sad for Jules. Cassie, she's really having some hard times. In my opinion, was totally one of the most emotionally-intense episodes. Also, I hope Fez will gonna be okay. Nate, F you!

It's not just about drugs.

In this episode, we explore mental health troubles more than addiction. There was clear depression, bipolarity, and several moods experienced by several characters. The episode wasn't as memorable as the others, but i continues to advance the plot with purpose.

What is this show really trying to prove?

Warning: Spoilers
The stereotypes of this series are appalling. It seems that every single teenager is a sexual driven deviant with no end in sight....no limits.

This show started out nicely, but has turned into a depression driven nightmare.

I really wonder, what do the show runners really want to show? This series seems to been spinning its wheels for a while...no end in sight, no closure, no climax...just a collection of sorrows, trials and tribulations.

Really good episode, best of the season for sure. It dealt a lot with depression and it really took a deep dive into the complexities of it. Rue and Jules both got a lot of screen time and I think that's exactly why this has been the best episode. The scene with Jules in the club was just absolutely amazing. This episode really showcased the show's artistic side, like with those grainy film segments. This is precisely what this show is so good at. It has some very unique ways of conveying emotion and atmosphere and it works so well. I also enjoyed the showdown between Fez and Nate and I honestly hope Fez just takes him down because I'll give it to the writers, he's an extremely hatable character, although half the job is already done by him just being a jock. The first segment of the episode went to Cassie but I don't really feel like she got that much focus at all because she's another one of those characters I'm not that interested in. I think that's what held back this episode, and the show in general, the most because this could've otherwise been even better

Daddy issues and depression, I know exactly what that is.
Lonelystarsee11 January 2022
I could easily tell why I love this episode so much, in fact, I could list every single detail that makes me truly consider this episode one of the best of this series, if not the best. But countless people have already done it so I'll say, the direction is brilliant, as well as the photography, the dialogues etc etc... It's not perfect, although it's close to perfection, but the Rue Detective scene is pure gold.
