This may be the first review I've written on IMDb since I first started visiting the site some 15 years ago. But this show is brilliant, and I think this episode did a great job of showing us Jeff's perspective of the world. Between his divorce and his sister's divorce and their grasping of various situations in their lives, seeing it in a way made for kids makes you feel the weight of it even more. Particularly Catherine Keener's numbed was a standout. But it did a great job of showing the main character's viewpoint of his world and what he's trying to bring to it. His wife's appearance, too, really brought a lot to it. Thought it was a beautifully done episode and all the performances were great.

Warning: Spoilers
Seeing Jeff display his courage in his own show that he created to escape from reality was an amazing concept for this upset. Being brought into Pill Barrel Falls was an experience that was unforgettable. It brought back so much nostalgia, thinking back when I was kid and would watch Blues Clues or even Sesame Street. The best part was that it brought out a theme no kid show would ever air on TV: a divorce on screen. This show shows the true dark side of reality but somehow delivered a message with beauty and perseverance. Excellent show overall!
So beautifully done

I'm afraid there's a misunderstanding.

I want to see the story of the guy who runs a kids' show.
Not the kids' show itself.
To understand that, you have to know... I am not a kid. And the kids I know are not interested in the show about the guy who run the kids' show.
...good talk.
Swing and a miss

There aren't many shows I love as much as Kidding. Season 2 has been phenomenal, on an even keel with the first. Until this episode.
It could have achieved the same results in 5 minutes of this cartoonish pithy shtick, it didn't need a full episode. Hoping it returns to the norm in the next one.
As another reviewer said, I want to watch a show about a guy who hosts a kids' tv show, not watch a kids' tv show.
