The short film was recorded mainly in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 2013. A couple of years later the director, David Hernández, sent David Díaz two DVD discs to Madrid with 137 minutes of footage to start post-production. However David Díaz realized that some shots and scenes were never filmed. So David Díaz gathered several friends and recorded what was missing, including special effects and final editing in 2018.
The original capsule was created in plaster by David Hernández. However, David Díaz was unable to use for the special effects. Finally, after Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) was released, a toy mini-submarine went on sale and David Hernández found it in a store and he send it to David Díaz. Then it was painted in blue to match the decoration built in Tenerife.
The shots of the pod were recorded on a green fabric as a green screen. In some shots the submarine was practically immobile and the camera moved around to create the illusion of movement. Or in other shots the submarine was placed on a strip of green cardboard and moved slowly in front of the green fabric.
