The final performances of Norman Swain and Joff Ellen in their characters of Uncle Norman and Joffa Boy from "The Tarax Show" - wraparound introductions of cartoon shows during the May school holidays, telecast from GTV Channel 9, Melbourne.
Station management adapted this one hour format and weeks later "Cartoon Corner" began at 4pm weekdays hosted by newcomer Daryl Somers. The ratings success led to a Saturday morning spin off "Hey Hey It's Saturday" in October 1971, a show that would become a phenomenon in Australian variety, in production from 1971-1999 and revived in 2009-2010.
