- During the presidential election of 2016, nick is a trump supporter who loves not being PC and with his friend rich, loves going around school and causing trouble. he gets attacked in class for supporting trump. he argues with his classmates about politics while his friend rich supports him, they feel like they get attacked in this day and age for being conservative. he and rich go around filming skits for their media class that are definitely not PC. they even go to a Hillary voting campaign. they bother two liberal snowflakes. one of them Shelley, finds nick extremely offensive. they walk away and go to the cafeteria to meet their friends. he then meets Beth, a liberal girl who supports Hillary. at first he doesn't tell her he likes trumps. he tries to get to know her at first. never thinking he would like a liberal girl, he doesn't know what to do or how to tell her. the only thing he knows is having fun with rich at the cost of liberals. he tries to tell her in the courtyard but cant. they talk about getting girls which is hard for them in the first place, but in this day and age, while the election got everyone heated and divided, that politics shouldn't matter when it comes to love. he even gets embarrassed while beth's friend Shelley calls him out for being a pig. then, after the final numbers come in and the scandal tapes come out from access Hollywood, Beth walks in on him and rich celebrating. a final moment of him trying to tell her to follow her heart and not her head. the film ends with her deciding which to choose.
