A wonderful stop-motion film dragged down by a very predictable storyline.

Freaks of Nature is a very well made stop-motion film, Created by Alexandera Lemay that unfortunately is dragged down by a very boring and predictable storyline, Let's start with the pros, The animation is wonderful, Alexandera and her team did such a great job with the movement and the colors, Everything looks so alive and vibrant, The voice acting is pretty great too, Unfortunately that doesn't save how predictable the story was..

The main character (Voiced by Alexandera herself) is worried that she may have lost her talents as an animator and calls her mother for some help and encouragement, That's such a cute and cool concept to work with but with such a short running time of 7 minutes, You can't really do that much with it, I predicted what was gonna happened 3 minutes in and was just waiting for it to happened and that makes me pretty sad because this type of art is not easy to make, Stop-motion animation takes a lot of time and hard work to make and It's kinda sad to see that hard work being wasted on such a predictable storyline..

So yeah, Check this out if you're interested, Again, Pretty great animation wasted on a predictable storyline, Could've been much better.

A nice short animation about mother dedication, refuge in her project of daughter, a crowd of kids, cats, dogs and beautiful stop motion animation. Not revelations but sweet moral and fair dose of realism about sacrifices, selfishnes and the predictable reconciliation.

And this is just all, enough for a short film, seductive for large audience and good kick to reminds about moments of relation with your own mother.

The virttue - maybe the hard work, so obvious, to make it. And the naivety air who just works more than well in this case.

So, sweet sounds as reasonable definition about it. And the mother - reminding more a grandma- is just lovely.
