Family Switch (2023)
Not Bad but not as good as past switch movies
This movie wasn't bad, but the chemistry at the beginning was not great, and the older switch movies were better.
But I have to admit.... The word gag when they mention all the other old switch movies was the most clever thing in here.....
Freaky (Friday), Big, 17 Again, 13 Going On 30.... Clever!
Besides that, it wasn't bad and got better as it went on. Very reminiscent of We're The Millers and the last New Vacation Movie.
The acting was good as time went on... Definitely a good holiday movie.
Love that Netflix has the great content and you don't have to go out of the house to see movies like this.
Jack & Bobby (2004)
The best show on TV. Only one season is a travesty
I often think back to this show. How amazing it was frames. How amazing the characters were. How amazing the stories were. A lot of good shows aren't renewed. But the fact that this one wasn't is just a horrible loss.
It's not available to stream anywhere. With al' the streaming services now someone should reboot it. Or just continue it. It's been 15 years but it's time for a good show like this to have a home again.
The Greatest Showman (2017)
A Perfect Movie
If you watch this movie to find accuracy in the facts, timeline, or anything that belongs in a documentary,. this is not that.
However, I am someone who does not like and appreciate musicals like this... yet THIS is SUCH an amazing move in SO many ways. It is SO uplifting as well.
The music is incredible. It is SO well done.
The way it is shot is amazing... How things are framed and backgrounded is something you can only appreciate if you watch this movie more than once.. there is just so many things that make it so wonderful. The transitions from time periods and scenes are amazing. You may not notice this during one watching but the more you watch the more you see how great every scene is, especially the musical ones which are most!
When this came out I wasn't going to see it and I am so glad I did. The story is great and you can easily follow along with it WITHOUT having the normal and way too apparent "dumbing down" that so many movies and films do.
Thanks to all who worked on this for a great film. I heard there is a sequel and I will be first in line.
I never write reviews. Until now!
Deception (2018)
Fin show. Not your average police procedural
I don't get the bad reviews. This is a fun show to watch. More than the Mentalist which was a much more serious show.
If you are looking for professionalism and realism this isn't the show for you.
But this is fresh and fun and hope it goes to regular season. The characters are interesting as well.
One of my favorite spring shows for sure.
Rise (2018)
Great
With a new Jason Karin's show like this it's like a welcome family member is back.
Some say it's the same, compare it to Glee (has more Friday Night Lights overtones) however it is great to see characters that actual have character.
So glad this is on and can't wait to see how the story and characters develop. And Rosie Perez is amazing welcome back Rosie.
Glee: The Quarterback (2013)
Excellent - But Feels Wrong
If you read all sorts of things online about this episode, you will know that this was filmed "as is". Everyone in this episode is sad. This isn't acting sad but just sad... and you can tell from the opening number how much trouble everyone was having trying to get through each sequence.
I agree with everyone here...this was a great episode. Maybe too good.. which if you watch it closely sort of feels "wrong" to be watching it. Sort of like you are infringing on people in grief that should be left alone. It is obvious the sad faces and tears are everyone trying to get through the filming of this episode is all real.
Watch it again and you will see what I mean if you really look at the actors. I felt this the first time it aired, and if you watch online you can see it also... Great episode... It is so good it feels weird to be there.
Friday Night Lights: Always (2011)
Perfect Series Finale.... Best I ever saw
I loved the last episode and especially the final montage, because everyone was taken care of in a good way. Each character was shown what they are doing 8 months later and you have to get some satisfaction seeing that everyone is "alright". Luke going into the armed forces made sense because no other story developed around him regarding his future.
That being said, the subtle things that made the final montage unforgettable in my opinion are: 1) The pass and pan into daylight 8 months later. 1st jarring and you wonder who won the game... which leads to #2 2) Showing the "rings" throughout the montage. You see it on Vince while he practices for the Panters, etc. This is a great way to tell people that they won without "saying or showing." Sometimes it feels good to discover things as an intelligent audience on your own! 3) Coach is coaching in Philly. Whether you wanted coach to stay or to go with Tammi, if he went with Tammi you would just assume he wouldn't be coaching as that was never on the table. He is a good coach and should do what he does best and the fact that he is able to do it adds another star to this montage.
4) All the Lions you wanted to see stayed with the Panthers... including the coaches motto. Again, going with the theme everything is alright.
5) When you see Matt and Julie in their apartment getting ready for work, you see she has her college books so she stayed din college. Not only that if you notice the way they perform the scene, it is with assuredness. Not like kids.
6) The coach saying to his new players, we have a long way to go and I'm looking forward to it... This has been the theme for the past 2 teams we watched on TV... to see him in another familiar position once again being able to do his magic with the Braemore college team leaves you feeling good about how his character was left off.
7) The symbolism at the end of the show when the field lights are turned off. Meaning Friday Night "Lights" is off. Very sentimental.
That is my thoughts.... The best series finale in the way it was shot, written, and done I have ever seen.
Supernatural: A Very Supernatural Christmas (2007)
Why does Young Dean call young Sam DEVIN...
Did anyone else notice, that at the end of the episode when young Sam is waking up, and young Dean tells him to get the presents.. he says GO AHEAD DEVIN...
Who is Devin? He calls him Sam later at the last scene...
The actors name is Colin... maybe he said Colin... whichever.. someone should have caught it... pretty embarrassing...
Anyone else notice this?
And whoever said that the facts are wrong... this is SUPERNATURAL not 60 minutes!
It is hard to believe this has been renewed for 3 seasons... and Invasion never hit puberty,

Where Have All the People Gone (1974)
I saw it at 9 and want to find it
This movie I saw when I was 9 and really want to see again, but don't know how!
My Tivo has a permanent wishlist set up with its name in the event it ever comes on.... No dice after a year.
I remember the people coming back to town from the wilderness... There were clothes on a bed where someone was laying down.. a girl in a bus or car.... I dont remember much
At the end I think they start walking to another town.
If anyone has this PLEASE post
