Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies (1999 Video)

Ok, I saw this on HBO last night, and I was pleasantly surprised! So, the plot was similar to the first Wishmaster, and the special effects were not the greatest, BUT Andrew Divoff's creepy performance in the title role really hits the mark. I found myself "wishing" they would have replaced the scenes with the "goth" chick turned "saint" and the uninteresting priest with more of Divoff's subtle charm and offbeat wit. One word of advice to the Wishmaster franchise - More Divoff, less everything else!

I tried to understand this sloppy horror movie. To me it looked like a bunch of gore thrown in with some characters running around not really doing anything.....like i said i tried.....

This movie does no no justice to the story, originally presented in the fabulous and timeless classic cartoon. Rent the cartoon instead and stay VERY far away from this version. Even you gore hounds will find the cartoon much more satisfying.

Bland attempt at a slasher movie

Not much good can be said about this bland attempt at a slasher/horror movie. I really do not see how this movie made so much money. The only good thing was seeing that kid from "Rosanne" take the hook in the chin. The rest sucked, a complete waste of time.
