How can computers be so touching?
24 December 2000
This is a true work of genius computer art. Geri himself is a touching figure and is a symbol of the true spirit of old age. At the same time the whole cartoon is ridiculous, the way all good cartoons should be. If only all cartoons were this good and had this level of attention to detail.

Brutal yet just - a film with panache.
24 December 2000
This is the way to make an action film: take some one-liners, add a bit of narrative in the gravelly voice of Mel Gibson; next add generous servings of violence - harsh, but generally fair; now blow up a few cars/buildings/people and sprinkle on the top. A film that although is far from deep takes hold of you and makes you say shh every time anyone in the room speaks. And the ending, well, you'll see. Just go and watch it, you won't regret it. Not the best in it's genre (the usual suspects has to win out, but this is like Sonny Corleone without his Godfather...) but not far from it. At last a film that deserves the moniker good, modern, film noir.

Touching and sweet - may even make a man want to have children
24 December 2000
This film is so beautiful in so many ways. It is simple without being sparse. It tugs on the heart strings - but it has none of that Oprah vomit. Sit back and enjoy a fun and hilarious film of Moretti's move into fatherhood. Love him for the bumbling klutz he is. Want to steal his baby.
