Mike Myers has lost his touch

This movie gets a rating of 2 from me. I gave the original an 8. That should say it all. The first one was funny, clever, and sexy. The second one was gross, not funny, and worse yet, very very boring.

I hope there isn't an Austin Powers III, but then again it would be very hard for it to be worse than number II.

Head Above Water (1996)

This was a bad movie.

This movie was billed as a comedy and a mystery. It fails badly at both. The only mystery here is why would anybody make such a poorly constructed movie. The only comedy is the laugh I got when I saw how high the readers here ranked it. Could there be two movies with the same name? The movie I saw starred a girl with pretty blue eyes and a plot that wasn't there.

Hope Floats (1998)

Hope Floats sinks.

This movie had a chance of being a good movie, but a little less than half-way through it became clear that it would be a boring little nothing of a movie with characters we cared nothing about. It's no wonder you see stacks and stacks of these videos left unsold, even at $9.99 at Costco. Too bad. It started out very nicely.

If you want a Sandra Bullock fix, then see "While You Were Sleeping" again. Don't waste your time on this one.
