Loved by You (1997–1998)
A nice, funny show that's quite watchable.
24 November 1998
I found this show in its second series and I wish I'd seen it earlier.

It's an enjoyable show thats was most entertaining.

The plot is essentially simple.

A newlywed(ish) couple and their life together, along with their friends and family.

unfortunatly that description doesn't really sound like something that would make you want to see it, so it's best that you see it yourself.

The Characters are likable and the show does what it's supposed to, entertain you for half an hour and make you laugh.

And it doesn't hurt that the leading lady is quite gorgeous (She reminds me of a younger Hudson Leick)

Xena: Warrior Princess (1995–2001)
Beautiful people wandering around beautiful scenery
24 November 1998
Xena, a reformed warrior princess. A woman who wanders arround Ancient Greece (or New Zealand) trying to atone for the atrocities she has performed. Along for the ride is Gabrielle, an irritating blonde who has nothing better to do apparently.

This has to be my favourite show.

Lucy Lawless plays Xena perfectly, she really makes you believe that she can do all those things Xena does (even though, unless you see her face it's not her doing it) and quite frankly I think she's gorgeous. No wonder so many warriors followed her.

Renee O'Connor plays Gabrielle, who, to be honest, I can't stand. However Renee plays her perfectly and is a great actress, proved to me by playing a completly different character, later in the series, who I think is great.

Other Characters of Note.

Joxer: Played by Ted Raimi. A man who wishes to be a warrior but has no self esteem. Without confidence in his abilities he ends up looking like a Buffoon. He's in Love with Gabrielle, so taste isn't one of his strong points :)

Callisto: Played by Hudson Lieck. Stunningly beautiful warrior queen, whose family was killed in a raid led by Xena. Beautiful, clever and Evil. Perfect.

Ares: Played by Kevin Smith: The God of War (and Elvis impersonators) and boy does he miss Xena. Pretty much everything he does is an attempt to bring Xena back to her old job as a warlord.

Gorgeous people and brilliant stories. What more do you need?

Go watch

Hail to the King ,Baby

As someone who saw the evil dead series backwards (this one first, followed by evil dead 2 and then eventually number 1) I can say this is a great film by itself and an even better film if you know the history.

Bruce Cambell, even better than he is as Autolycus over in Xena makes this film a must see.

The very witty humour adds to rather than takes away from the quality of this film.

And how many films can you think of that has three different endings depending on what format you see it.

Oh and keep an eye out for Patricia Tallman, Lyta Alexander in Babylon 5 and of course Sam's Brother, Ted Raimi.

The Princess Bride: Greatest Film ever made
24 November 1998
I really love this movie and the book. I could watch it over and over (and frequently do).

Its a story of True Love and High Adventure.

Great lines, great characters, great scenery.

You may get the feeling I like this movie.

Mandy Patinkin is great as Inigo Montoya and his line "Hallo, I am Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die" goes down as one of my favourite quotes.

If you haven't seen it yet, you are missing out.

why are you still reading this? Go see the film now!

Evil Dead II (1987)

One of the few "horror" films I'm willing to watch

What can I say?

This film is great. Bruce Cambell reprises his role as Ash from the original film although I would consider this to be a remake of the original, one that is much better.

Classic Renaissance pictures.

go see (and go see the third film, Army of Darkness: The mediEvil dead

Ludicrous piece of Nonsense. I love it!

What can you say about Hawk the Slayer?

The plot is silly, the acting is often wooden, The lines are unbelievable, the effects? cheap.

In summary? It's one of the best films I've seen in ages.

So what if its a cheaply made tv movie. It's so funny. Some of the things that happens makes you fall off your chair from laughing.

Crow, with his halted speach and never ending supply of arrows that appear in his bow without any assistance, is probably my favourite character, though it's a close call with many of the other characters.

It's one of those films that you have to see.

you have to see it to believe it.
