Better have a good pillow !
20 August 1999
This is the most boring film I have ever seen. If it wasn't for Jodie Foster I would have left before the end. Three hours of nothing and a great waste of time and money. Hollywood at its worst !

A little jewel of French cinema
4 March 1999
This movie should be seen in its original language version.

The actors are great and the plot interesting, but what makes this movie so good are the dialogues. In fact, we have here a piece of art in dialogue writing. The subtlety of the French language is well used and, each time you see this movie, you find something new in the conversations. A has-to-be-seen movie for whom fancies the French language.

I wasted 3 hours
28 February 1999
This movie is empty, the camera shows vegetation half the time, and the other half, close ups of dead soldiers, crying prisoners and philosophizing (boring) heroes. Fortunately, a few good actors and 15 minutes of action, give the film a little life. But it's not enough. You waste your time and your money!

Patricia's Best Movie
8 January 1999
Never had I seen such a powerful true story movie. I discovered a city, a country, a lost revolution and even a Nobel prize winner thanks to this masterpiece of cinema.

If you haven't seen this movie, you can't say you've seen anything .

A great lesson of courage, humility and life.

I haven't seen anything as good since.
