Some interesting acting moments, poor plot

Despite the mostly good reviews, I did not like this movie. Downey had some good moments, (as well as some over-acted ones) and the interplay amongst the cast was enjoyable. But this movie was, apparently, simply a vehicle for allowing Downey to strut his stuff. The plot was insubstantial, and the characters were cartoons, behaving unbelievably.

Johnny Skidmarks (1998)

Very enjoyable presentation, but a little gruesome

I enjoyed this movie. The characters were portrayed interestingly and the story moved along nicely. There were not many surprises, and some of the more gruesome scenes were stretched out longer than necessary. The main attraction was the quirkiness of the characters.
