Music and Lyrics (2007)
The new Cary Grant
Hugh Grant IS the new Cary Grant of his generation. This movie is so much fun; cleaver, witty, and just the right amount of corn. A joy to watch Grant and Barrymore together; pure magic! The music is great, the comic timing superb, and the way Grant throws away a line is comic genius. I could watch him do that all day. Give it try, and if you are one of the sad people who gave this a 1, think about seeing a shrink. Good luck, and enjoy, it doesn't get any better than this.
This site demands 10 lines, and I don't have anything else to say, so see the movie, see the movie, see the movie. so see the movie, see the movie, see the movie.
The Cell (2000)
Mental Illness, The Movie
This film, ostensively delves into the sick mind of a notorious serial killer, Carl Stargher. In reality is seems more like a stylish way to pander to the depravity of many viewers. One wonders about the sanity of the writer and producers of this type of stomach turning work. I am definitely for freedom of expression, but this film makes a very strong case for censorship.
Kavkazskiy plennik (1996)
Best, most moving anti-war movie I've ever seen.
Best, most moving anti-war movie I've ever seen. The scenery is breathtaking. The acting and direction superb, and the story is without equal. Highly recommended for anyone who likes great movies. This Russian movie is incredible in scope and production. Two thumbs up!
Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead (1995)
Truly Bad
This may be the worst movie I have ever seen. The actors were excellent, but the writing is terrible. The idea that the young man who is presented with the completely out of control Treat Williams, will continue to bait him until he brutally murders him is too ridiculous to contemplate. 10 for acting, 0 for plot.

Celebrity (1998)
Waste of talent.
Very disjointed and jumbled and not very interesting. After watching 35 or 40 minutes, we were so bored that we hit the rewind button. It was mildly amusing to watch Kenneth Branagh doing his Woody Allen imitation, but when that novelty was over, not much was left.
Le roi de coeur (1966)
One of the great ones!
One of the great ones; makes you ask the question, " Who are the real lunatics?" Excellent cast and direction; done with rare humor, yet carries a profound message
