Beauty's Revenge (1995 TV Movie)
poor Kyle Secor...
10 September 2000
I was watching TV, wishing in vain for Homicide: Life on the Street to be on. Instead, I stumbled upon this movie and found Homicide's Kyle Secor in this LAME TV-movie-of-the-week-type flick about a female stalker. I was glad to watch Kyle because he's great in whatever he does, but I was so sad that he was stuck in such a STUPID "movie." I knew what everyone's next moves were going to be and I really couldn't stand it. It's hard to like anyone here (w/ the exception of Kyle). He deserves a new TV show and/or a few independent movie projects. What a great actor, but what a trite movie. If you want to see some blistering acting, watch reruns of H:LOTS.

Daria in 'Is It Fall Yet?' (2000 TV Movie)
what i was expecting

clever, as is anything daria-related. it was nice to finally see daria head out into the dating scene. i think this movie helped to show just why daria and jane are friends, and was hilarious in the process. it's always nice to see MTV do something SMART once and a while. i really didn't see ANY downside to this movie at all- it was even funnier than most episodes. and it gave the daria crew a chance to grow up a little more.

Boy Meets World (1993–2000)
clever little thing
24 June 1999
Honestly, BMW is not what it used to be. I have watched this show ever since the beginning and I'd say its best seasons were its 4th ('96-'97) and 5th ('97-'98). The plot lines could be incredibly silly, but it always made for great jokes about the schemes Cory and Shawn were getting into. And while I'm not up for preachy TV, BMW carries morals in a way that doesn't bog the show down. My friend said of the show recently "It's gotten to the point of a soap opera. If you don't watch for a while, you have no idea about what's going on." I'd say that's true. It's still worth a look, no doubt about it. Just put aside some of the stupid characteristics, like what's been done to Eric (Will Friedle- who is a talented guy, but his character was and idiot, smarted up to get into college, then dumbed down again). But be sure to catch this show in syndication & all those bizarre cake references from the 4th season... Like this:

Cory: You're watching CNN?

Shawn: Well, yeah. They suckered me in with this story about cake, but then they did an exposé on a 15-year-old boy, went to the hospital for a routine procedure and vanished.

Cory: Vanished? I want a second opinion!

Shawn: Cory! You're missing the point here! Cake!
