Parrot Sketch Not Included: Twenty Years of Monty Python (1989)
Perfect for the New or Non-Fan!
If you are my age (15) and have no idea who in the hell Monty Python is, this is just the thing for you. Jam packed with some of the funniest sketches ever written! Great for the long time fan too.
On a little foot note, at the end when Steve Martin told where the Pythons were (in the cupboard), there is some sentimental value to the little joke - ALL the Pythons in the cupboard, including Graham. "Sad, isn't it?"
Monty Python's Flying Circus (1969)
It's so good I can't even describe it!
I am a relatively new fan - actually, really new. I only started really watching the show 2 weeks after my 15th birthday - which was in April of 2000. But I can tell you, I'm hooked! Although I am originally a Kids in the Hall fan (and still am), I must give creadit to the first guys who made drag funny.
Saturday Night Live 25 (1999)
A Wonderful Tribute for a Wonderful Show!
I was in awe when I watched the Saturday Night Live 25th Anniversary. As a die-hard fan of the show since 1989 (I wish to note that I'm 14) it was so nice to see all the cast members that I haven't seen in a while! It seemed like everybody who was involved with the show put their all into this one. It was absolutly wonderful. A must see if you ask me!
Saturday Night Live (1975)
Still Crazy After All These Years!
I've been watching the SNL for almost 10 years now (That's a long time considering I'm 14) and even though this cast will never own up to what '75-'80 and the '86-'94 casts were, I still like them, no matter how bad they are. Congratulations on 25 years!
The Kids in the Hall (1988)
Two words: THE BEST.
Hands down, KITH is the best show in the history of Canadian TV. The Kids themselves are very, very talented. They were able to make characters realistic. I hear they might be coming back for a 10th Anniversary tour... :::crosses fingers::::
Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy (1996)
I thought it was great!
If you are a fan of KITH, like me, then you will love this movie! I loved the characters (it's a wonder Mark McKinney didn't do that Lorne...I mean, Don character on SNL), the plot was good, and there are some really funny bits! Wonderful job!
Give My Regards to Broad Street (1984)
Quite Good
Compared to Paul McCartney's last opus "Magical Mystery Tour, this movie wasn't all that bad, I thought. I loved the songs, the story was OK, and over all I was pleased. It was a nice surprize to see Ringo in there too! Great for all Beatle fans!
A Hard Day's Night (1964)
No Matter How Old "A Hard Day's Night" is...
...it will always be my favourite movie! Being a huge Beatle fan, I LOVED this movie! The music, the comedy, the style and the stars all make it #1 in my book! It's nice to know it's returning to theaters - all my friends, who are my age (14!!) will hopefully understand why I like the Beatles so much.
