Rocky V (1990)

you all are a bunch of idiots...

Although Rocky V wasn't the best in the Rocky series, it was a decent movie. It was somewhat credible and it had a plot (the Rocky being broke thing didnt convince me though) but I guess most of you 12 year old children out there could care less about plots, dialogues and etc. I guess Rocky fighting genetically mutated Russians and 7 foot tall professional wrestlers are more appealing to most people. But to those of you out there who are real Rocky fans, Rocky V was not that bad and is a movie worth watching.

First Blood (1982)

Well done film

While growing up I thought First Blood was annoying, boring and drab. I was really too young to understand what a good plot was. After watching this movie as an adult, I absolutely loved it. Now that I look at it, compared to the other Rambo movies, First Blood had a believable plot, strong acting and a good story line. As a son of a Vietnam veteran, I actually felt the pain of a ex-soldier who just needed a friend. Although muffled in his accent, the speech about "nothing being over" was very strong and meaningful. Why should someone who spilt his guts for his country be unaccepted in a society he defended? Rambo talks about how he was in charge of multi million dollar equiptment in the service but at home he can't even be offered a job washing cars... is it fair for out country's veterans to be overlooked? All Rambo wanted was something to eat, but a small town sheriff wouldn't even let him do that in his town. First Blood is about one man's fight to survive in a cruel world. It portrays the dark ages of Post-Vietnam.

Black Thunder (II) (1998)

Lots of action in this Michael Dudikoff thriller. Plot wasn't too bad and the acting wasn't that bad either. Lots of recycled footage but it was still a pretty good movie. 7/10 stars, I'd recommend this movie to everyone.

Godzilla (I) (1998)

The worst movie I have seen in my entire life

This movie not only sucked but it had to rip off ideas from 5-6 other movies. There was no real plot, the special fx had holes in it, the acting was terrible and a whole lot more. I went to see this the first day it came out and you know what was funny? I never seen so many people in the theater take so many trips to the bathroom! People didn't want to see the movie, they wanted the movie to end!

CB4 (1993)

Funniest FN movie

whether you hate rap music or you don't this is one of the funniest movies about rap music. CB4 pokes fun at west coast gangsta rap that was popular in the early 90's- this had to be one of Chris Rock's funniest roles ever!!! The songs are really funny and all the characters in this movie make it what it is- from Chris Elliot to Phil Hartman.

Saving Private Ryan (1998)

Although I really liked this movie, I don't think it captured the true horrors of war like Oliver Stone's Platoon. The first D-Day scene was great, but to me, the movie kinda died off after that. There may not have been as much blood and guts in Platoon as in Saving Private Ryan, but I think Platoon was a stronger war movie.

Platoon Leader (1988)

a war movie worth seeing

Platoon Leader isn't a Saving Private Ryan or a Platoon type of movie, but it's a movie worth seeing. The action scenes are very well done. This movie captures the essence of what young officers in our armed forces have to go through to earn the respect of their enlisted counterparts.
