Stubby Pringle's Christmas (1978)
Where can I get this movie?
I saw this as a kid with my parents and we all loved it. We have all tried to find it EVERYWHERE and have never seen it replayed on TV. It was a long time ago, and I don't remember a lot of details, but this was a warm, family Christmas movie that really touched our hearts. I would purchase a copy in DVD or VHS if it were available. We need more family fare that is GOOD.
Peege (1973)
'70s Christmas Nostalgia calls for a hankie or two
I first saw this as a kid, and continue to watch it every year at Christmas on my home-made videotape. It's a nostalgic, sad Christmas piece about a family who visits their Grandmother (Peege) in a nursing home. No one wants to be there except the oldest son, who remembers old times with Peege and helps bring a smile to her face. It is very touching and reeks of the '70s. I hope it comes out on video or DVD someday.
Gridlock (1980)
Love, angst, rock'n roll, baby born, all on the freeway!
This is definitely a guilty-pleasure movie. Such a stellar cast! I mean, Ed McMahon!! The rock band that gets stuck in the traffic jam and ends up playing to the crowd out of the back of their truck--IT'S CLASSIC!
