Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo (1966)
Greatest...western...ever.
Without a doubt, this film is a masterpiece. In storytelling, in cinematography, in scope, all in all a great great work. Eastwood, Cleef and Wallach are absolutely superb in their respective roles, and each plays their character to the max. Sergio Leone is simply a genius at work here, and from the moment the film begins to the moment it ends, you will be mesmerized and captivated. This definitely ranks just above Eastwoods' "Unforgiven" in the all-time great western film category, as well as the character "Blondie" is definitely one of the great characters of all time. Once you've seen this film (hopefully on DVD), you will compare every western movie you've seen and every one you will see to it, and chances are they will fail the test. A must-have for serious DVD collectors.
Carlito's Way (1993)
Remarkable
Carlito's Way is without a doubt one of the great gangster films out there. Pacino,as always,is terrific, but the scene stealer is Sean Penn. Arguably his greatest performance,he manages to steal almost every scene from Pacino. Great story, great acting, one of the best...see it.
Robin Williams: Live at the Met (1986)
Easily one of the best stand up movies you'll ever see.
In all honesty, this has to be one of the best,if not the best stand up special by a well known comedian.Outranking even Eddie's Delirious and Chris Rock's latest,"Bigger and Blacker",you can be sure that you will have a pain in your side when this is over;and don't be surprised if you feel the need to immediately rewind it and watch it again. Robin's talent comes shining through, with impressions and observations that will have you crying in your seat. Trust me on this,if you are a Robin Williams fan,and you haven't yet seen this performance, you really don't know what you are missing.
