UFOs: Investigating the Unknown (2023– )

A lot of what is being presented in this series I had no idea was going on. I was in junior high in the 60's. A lot of information that was new to me right up to the end. I watched at least two if not three parts at a time. Giving me time to think about what I had heard and processing the information. It has a lot of older interviews which I actually enjoyed. It has me thinking about other things in our world and in our lives that can't be explained. I am so glad I watched this because, even being older film viewed in it, it still had a lot to tell that does not change over time. Give it a try and see if it is worth the time for you to view. So glad I did!

Extraction II (2023)

Better than first one.

Much more emotion and feeling by ALL the characters. Tons of action to keep you sitting on the edge as I was doing through most of this movie. New surprises in this episode and some if the same from the first film. I hear there will probably be a third episode and can not wait to see how that will tie into the two that have been made already. Characters are very easy to like and easy to root for. Some of the scenes are still spinning my head as to how they were done and made without actually doing harm to real buildings and cars and stunt people and extras. The 20 minute sequence was amazing and awesome.

John Wick (2014)

A lot of the usual fights and guns, and let us not forget the knives. . A step better with different dialog and a twist on the story than I am used to. Keanu is always good and nails his lines every time. I really enjoyed the music choices for this first of four films and would love to know what some of the songs were and who sang them. I am really looking forward to the second film and seeing what the writers and director is going to put John Wick up against and if it will also take place in New York. The scenes were very interesting throughout and kept me wondering what was next and and where are they going.

Hard Rain (1998)

Not the worst movie I've seen.

I started watching this movie again the other day forgetting I had seen it before. The concept seems good enough but not realistic as it could have been. Hard Rain isn't really the right title for this film. When you watch it you will see why. A lot of some of my favorite actors are in this and seem to do okay on their part. The dialogue could have been less campy. The best acting in my opinion was Morgan Freeman. I will watch just about anything he does, and have. I can't even imagine acting this long in this much water and being okay with it. Why this group of actors agreed to do this might only because of the group of names.

Blonde (2022)

Based on a fictional book.

Not based on her life but on a book about her that was claimed fictional. So there are a lot of (what I Believe to be) fictional scenarios. Long and sort of dull. More based on her wanting a relationship with her father then her herself. Way too much breast full frontage for my taste. Idid enjoy the areas where the applied real footage of Marilyn's movies and some of her special footage. And the really did not address any information about her first husband at all. She was married three times not two. I thought the cinematography was good, really liked the black and white footages. I'm not sure I would watch this again.

Waiting for the Barbarians (2019)

I have not read the novel, so I had no expectations. It seemed to go slow for me. Once I got myself into the story I rather enjoyed it. Anything with this amazing actor in it I will watch.

Minamata (2020)

This man, this actor, is awesome at everything he does. And to think he didn't really want to be an actor. He wanted to play music. Well, he's doing both now. This movie was incredible. Had me literally on the edge of my seat.

Young Frankenstein (1974)

I saw this when it was in 1974. Just saw it again for a secind time (2022). Not as funny as the first time, but still had laugh areas. Peter Boyle is great as the monster.

Angel Has Fallen (2019)

I was not expecting to like this movie and it seemed just something to watch. I fell in love with movie about ten minutes in. There's a few twists and turns that kept me sitting on my edge. I recommend this to anyone who likes a good suspense movie.

I liked it. But I loved A Space Odyssey. Colors were amazing and sure the story was plain and not exciting, but it had a good people interaction. I would not watch it a second time but for space geek fans it's a nice laid back movie.

Good movie. You get to a point where you have to remind yourself why he's doing this. A lot of gun fire and blood. Chris is always good in his roles.

I love talking cat movies and was looking forward to a Christmas movie. For an adult this movie is not even remotely good. The kittens are cute, and that is just about it. The very young children may or may not enjoy this. It's a little slow even for the youngsters. But it might keep them busy for awhile.

How It Ends (2018)

It is the end, not the end again, the actual end. (As the words to the song after the movie play) After paying a lot of attention to details of character and scenery, and how the movie ends, it's not so much about the disaster as it is about the relationship between the characters. I agree the writing could have been better but I feel the actors worked well with the script and direction they weee given. I went into this movie with no expectation and was not disappointed. I didn't love this movie, but I didn't hate it either. At the very end of the movie after watching the full movie I knew what was going to happen without it being played out. I didn't miss a better ending but the movie will feel unfinished to some. Not to me however.

I probably won't even watch the second episode. I did not expect it to be the same as the 1960's series but I thought it might be at least as fun. I was so bored at the end of episode one I didn't go to episode two.

Maid in Manhattan (2002)

I just came from seeing this movie and thought it was just as cute as a button. Jennifer did a really good job as did the rest of the cast. It's one of those feel good movies that you want to go see when you down and just want to smile. I liked this movie all around until the ending which I thought could have been more creative. I'd have to say that Pretty Woman had a better ending over all. But I will buy this when it comes out on DVD and add it to my feel good movies.

Christmas Rush (2002 TV Movie)

I kept seeing horrible reviews for this movie. I finally got to see this for myself. Okay, so this isn't the best movie out there. It is made for television and really feels it. The movie had some ridiculous moments I have to agree, but over all, I thought it was one of Dean Cain's better movies. I voted for this movie with his other movies in mind giving it a much high vote then his others.

OK, so this show isn't the funniest thing on television. I think if they get rid of that canned laughter and just let the jokes run off themselves it could be better. The talent is great, Ivan Sergei shows his great strength as and actor here. As does several of the cast members..I think this has potential, given the chance. Give it a chance!

Totally a "go see it movie". I know not one thing about football, but found it very easy to follow. This PG-13 movie was a real delight. Script was good and funny, direction was excellent. In love with Keanu? Enough close ups to make it worth your while. A huge football fan? You will find it very entertaining and funny. I saw this also at a sneak preview and awaiting opening day to see it again. This movie will be a DVD keeper when it comes out. It's a relief to see something that can relax you in the theater for a change.

As a independent film lover as myself, this film is one of the best of the bunch. Kay does a wonderful job putting together this film taken from a letter. I've not seen this work done before in such a fashion. If your looking for Keanu Reeves in a pretty boy film, this is not it. His work is some of his best in independent film to date. I hope he continues to do independent films as he can really give to the characters that you cannot do with a big time director.

You have to see this film, if you've seen My Own Private Idaho, you will like this. Keanu only has limited space in this film but is a key character just the same.

The Courage to Love (2000 TV Movie)

I just finished watching this TV Lifetime Channel movie. Gil Bellows did an excellent job acting, however, his accent was a little off. But a good try. It's refreshing to see Bellows move into other acting venues.

This is basically a tale of one woman's (Vanessa Williams) rebellion against tradition and racism in the south. In a time when it is against the law to marry outside your race, Henriette (Williams), and Gerard (Bellows), fall in love and face trials of the law of the land of the day. They plan on moving to France where Gerard is from, where they can marry without any restrictions. Until Henriette's sister falls sick and they are forced to stay in the states. Henriette starts fighting with all her might for the rights of her people and her place in the church. I don't want to give away the ending so I will end this here.

Bringing Out the Dead (1999)

This movie is great. Great work for Martin Scorsese. I disagree with the opinion of the guy ahead of me. This movie is not suppose to have a plot. It is a story of how Frank's job plays with him. How he interacts with his feelings of the consequences of the job. Great movie, must see it twice.
