High Life (2018)
2/10
It's awful
1 June 2021
There's no exposition so nothing is explained and, as far as I could tell, there are no clues so you can't figure it out on your own.

Everybody on board is a crazy person. It goes about as well as expected. These people weren't equal to the challenge. They try to hold themselves together for as long as they can but eventually they are outlasted. Maybe that was the point but what that gets anybody I have no idea.

You spend the whole movie waiting for something to happen. It doesn't.

Felt very exploitative with respect to the child.

Often I hear people complain about how bad a movie is and I think it isn't that bad it's just mediocre. This really is one of the worst movies I ever saw.

House M.D. (2004–2012)
House has grown on me
16 April 2005
Warning: Spoilers
*spoiler* Every episode starts with the patent taking ill then arriving at the hospital. The patient is referred to House who shows no interest until something peculiar about the case is brought to his attention. House then presents the patients symptoms to his group of interns. They then brainstorm and come up with multiple possible illnesses to explain the symptoms. House might then tell them some of the possibilities are highly unlikely and to disregard them and then explore the rest. After the investigation, they come up with the most likely cause for the disease and start treatment. The first treatment always fails. Maybe this failure is a clue to the real cause of the illness - maybe not. Multiple treatments will be tried and they will all fail. Often some kind of conflict arises between House and loved ones, fellow hospital staff, or both. Then, when you least expect it, House has some revelation, some clue reveals itself as to the true cause of the illness, the proper treatment is administered, and the patient gets better. *end spoiler*

I'd just like to add that House isn't anti-social like the plot description says. Being anti-social means you can't live by societies rules - you're a criminal. Personally, I don't think he's anything. I think it's all an act.
