The Nomi Song (2004)
9/10
What I've been waiting for
18 October 2004
This is a remarkable compilation of interviews, live shows, home videos, and more all bringing together the short but phenomenal career of Klaus Nomi.

Though it seems blatantly low-budget, it keeps in vein with the atmosphere of the time and the storyline falls into place artfully but logically. I was very impressed by the vast amount of material that was found to put into this documentary; being a Klaus Nomi fan myself I know it's extremely hard to get your hands on this sort of thing... well, here it is!

The only thing I could've asked to improve as far as this movie goes was a better remaster of the audio - a lot of it was out of sync, a common problem that is easily fixed. Maybe we can look forward to that on later releases or perhaps the DVD? In any case, I still love it, 9 out of 10 stars.

Fun, exciting, but a little repetitious
21 December 2000
This game was not meant to be hard, though if you put it on the "Expert" setting it's no piece of cake. This game was meant to be fun and entertaining, which it is. Though there's really only one path to every level, so there is in other games such as Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog. In that respect, it may get boring after a while but I always come back to it. You would not call it a flight simulator though there is quite a bit of starfighter action, and joystick is NOT recommended. It's more a "shoot-em-up" game but with a Star Wars twist. I really like the graphics and the live-action movies. If you like Star Wars and you like computer games, you would certainly like this one.

Magical Mystery Tour (1967 TV Movie)
6/10
Brace yourself, and you may just get another enjoyable Beatles film
27 July 2000
Being a die-hard Beatles fan and having seen A Hard Day's Night, Help!, and Yellow Submarine already, naturally I just couldn't live without seeing Magical Mystery Tour. I had read the harsh critics' reviews and heard the disappointed comments from other fellow Beatlemaniacs so I braced myself for the worst. It was a good thing, too, because it made the movie all the better. Had I thought that this film would be as brilliant as the previous three I had seen I would have also been as disappointed. But I found that if you don't let the extreme (acid-influenced) weirdness get to you, it can be quite an enjoyable movie. Not to mention the music selection was a good bargain, the Beatles being in their peak of music creation.
