The Pesky Suitor (1995)
Very Entertaining and touching
I thought this short film was very entertaining and touching, especially the ending. The soundtrack was unusual and a bit unsettling, but it fit rather well. I particularly liked the performance of the old man. You thought his intentions were not honorable but in the end, everything came into play, and it all made sense.
Leprechaun 5: In the Hood (2000)
The little green creep does it again!
Although not quite as good as "Leprechaun II", "Leprechaun 5: In The Hood" does an admirable job at capturing the essence of the humorous evil that only the Leprechaun can deliver. He's still just as mean, and twice as violent! I would rate this on a par with #3, where he goes to Las Vegas. Seeing him as a rap artist battling Ice - T is almost too much fun for one movie.
Vernon, Florida (1981)
I really liked this documentary.
This is a truly wonderful and entertaining documentary. I only wish it were longer. 60 minutes was not enough. Although some may feel that this film makes fun of the rural Florida senior citizens, I found it charming. It reminded me of my grandparents' stories of rural Minnesota and North Dakota. The turkey hunter is especially good. I only wish I had such a passsion for a hobby.
Screenplay: Road (1987)
This is the absolute best thing I've ever seen on T.V.
This is by far the best thing I've ever seen on T.V. I must have watched this at least 50 times. The acting is superb and it captures the hopelessness of economic disadvantage perfectly. The use of Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness" is extremely moving.
Deadhead Miles (1972)
This is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen!
A truly great "road picture". Alan Arkin is absolutely fantastic as the nutty runaway truck driver. I've tried various sources to try to buy this movie, but it doesn'y seem to be available anywhere. I taped it off A & E several years ago, and it has become one of my all-time favorites. The music of Dave Dudley really completes the weird "mood" of this film.
