The Shield (2002–2008)
captivating police drama
14 December 2002
I was blown away after watching the first episode and got hooked immediately. It is intense and humourous at times when necessary. I especially enjoy the performance of Michael Chiklis, Catherine Dent, Jay Karnes, and Benito Martinez. Each character has depth and you'll find yourself caring for them. I really hope they keep making this show.

John Doe (2002–2003)
very intriguing

very good new show. kept me on the edge of my seat the whole hour, wanting to find out what happens next. It contains a lot of interesting facts which seem real, and you actually learn new things every time you watch this show. I highly recommend this show to anyone who likes the mystery/suspense/action genre.

Good action, not much else
2 December 2001
The climax of the movie comes very early, it's when the F18 is being chased by the SAM missles. Extremely good/cool action there, but then everything falls apart gradually. It's like a cartoon where the hero just doesn't die. The bad guy sniper is unbelivably lousy, he can't hit a 18-wheeler within in 10 feet.

But the F18/SAM scene itself is worth the theater visit.

Snatch (2000)
10/10
Now this is a good movie!

I can't tell you how great this film is, you gotta see it for your self. (sorry if it sounds like the matrix tagline) This film is packed with action and funny jokes. Really funny. Storyline is great, how these characters link to each other in some way or another is just brilliant. Many great actors here, my favorites are Tony, Turkish, Mickey, Franky, Vinny, Sol, Tommy...the list just goes on and on. NEVER a boring moment in the movie, no nice looking girls in the film and yet it's an excellent film for guys since me and my buddies all enjoyed it very much. I rented "Fight Club", "Snatch", and "Dude, where is my car?" (i know, i shouldn't, gave up in 10 minutes), and in my opinion "Snatch" is a more entertaining film then "fight club", because the flow is smoother, and there are just too many good actors in Snatch. Benicio Del Toro didn't get alot of scenes but he shined in every one of them.

My all time favourite movie was "Matrix", now "Snatch" is up there with it. Have you ever watched a movie and afterwards you couldn't stop thinking about it? then you know how I felt.

Is it just me? or ...

Warning: Spoilers
I've been reading all these good reviews about this movie but the script just doesn't make any sense to me.

**contains spoilers******

How can Nick be sure that the gang (Rudy + Gabriel + others) could SUCCESSFULLY rob the casino? I mean Rudy didn't know anything about the casino and just made up some BS plan, Gabriel and others had never done any robbery before. And it just worked? How can he be sure that Rudy would hit on Ashley when he got out of jail? There are only 4 dead santas found by the police, the fifth one (Rudy) escaped police search, by foot, in heavy snow??

there are just too many loopholes in the movie. I like Theron, Sinise, and Affleck. And I enjoyed the action and explosions. But the script just plain sucks.

5 stars out of 10.

Sleepy Hollow (1999)
10/10
Awesome movie!
3 December 2000
This movie is fantastic. I didn't watch this movie in theaters because I didn't especially like the cast and that I absolutely hated Tim Burton's Batman movies. He makes everything so dark, you can't tell whether it's day or night and a lot of times you can't even see squat!

However, his style works great on 'Sleepy Hollow'! The scenery is believable and the costumes are very nice. Depp, Ricci, and pretty much everyone else did a great job, they are all very talented.

and the Hessian Horseman is my new favourite villain, he is so cool, I bet you he can kick both Michael Myer's and Freddie Krueger as*es! The sword fighting scenes are very exciting, almost as good as the Highlander movies. But the sad thing is that the headless horseman (Ray Park) is not credited.

So please do yourself a favour and rent this movie. My only regret is that I didn't watch it in the theaters.

10 stars out of 10!
