The Up in Smoke Tour (2000)
Still Smokin'
After decades of making good rap tunes it is good to see Dr. Dre can pull off a tour like this. With Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Ice Cube as well it is one of the best music concerts ever and one of the best music videos ever as well.
Ice Cube's set is entertaining but his songs do lack the hip hop rap energy the others have.
Eminem is better, his highlight on the video being "Under Influence".
But Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are clearly the best with their short movie at the start with a visit to Da Chronic Spot it is a damn good introduction to their set including songs "The Next Episode", "What's My Name?", "California Love" and "Still DRE". This DVD is a good buy and leaves you in anticipation of their next tour STILL SMOKIN'
Snatch (2000)
Sale of the Fu#!ing Century
Guy Ritchie's new film Snatch is a deal, it's steal, it's Sale of the Fu#!ing Century. With plot twists in every new scene and countless amount of characters. This movie is a piece of classic comedy. And not corny U.S. comedy or Yabbo Australian comedy. I'm talking up front smart England Comedy.
Guy Ritchie really shines in the criminal underworld of England genre making almost every thing said in his movies funny. I being a big fan of Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels I built up a lot of anticpation for this movie. Though not as good as Lock, Stock, Snatch certainly lived up to my expectations and I must say is outstanding work.
Snatch has two seperate plot lines which managed to be pulled into each other. Mostly thanks to one awesome dog that swallows, not spits. See this movie and you will not be disappointed
