Star Plus Ban Gaya No. 1 Channel
23 January 2001
Star Plus adapts an extremely popular American game show... Who wants to be a millionaire? but to ensure its success decides to rope in its trump card.. the biggest entertainer of the millenium in India... Mr. Amitabh Bachhan. And the show becomes a super success in the huge Indian TV audience... the first Indian TV mega-show is born.. TV budgets will never be the same.. The show has audiences glued to their TV screens every weeknight for months... It made one person a crorepati.. it also sparked off several such TV shows which dole out prizes which have to have "the crore sound" As of now, no other TV show has been able to challenge it.

timepass
23 January 2001
a timepass movie.. sometimes can get pretty unbearable.. but one manages to get by the movie. the camaraderie aspect between Akshaye and Jaspal Bhatti and gang is real good... the movie tends to get unrealistic which is disappointing.

Hrithik, the king
11 May 2000
Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai is without doubt a very entertaining movie

and a great launchpad for Hrithik Roshan, the son of actor/director Rakesh Roshan. At the start of the movie he is lovable as any Bollywood actor can be as a struggling singer. Amisha is just the cute looker needed to make Hrithik look like a great lover. Of course, Amisha has done her job well, which is basically to look cute. :) The second entry of Hrithik makes him look real dashing and we get to see 2 avataars of Hrithik in one movie. There is no comment about how this is possible in the film. Rakesh Roshan had used the second avataar formula for double roles in Karan Arjun where he had made a weird unacceptable explaination... Here he solves the problem by giving no explaination. Who cares, right as long as we get to see 2 Hrithiks for the price of one. :)

Great movie.
11 May 2000
I just wanted to say that this is a great movie one of my top 3 favorite movies. It is one of very few movies that I can watch any number of times. It looks much better on big screen. Ok, it is not very realistic but it is very enjoyable. Early part is especially unrealistic as the setting itself is a dream college which could not possibly exist but I guess that is what movies are for... to show us not only what can happen but the other side as well. Kajol's emotions seem very real and Rani's acting is nice. The later part is fun as well but Salman's character is made the sacrificial bakra(lamb). Great acting by just about everybody.
