emily blunt
8 February 2011
I first became aware of Emily Blunt in the film MY SUMMER OF LOVE. Obviously a strikingly beautiful young woman, Ms. Blunt is a remarkable actress. The camera loves her and the way she uses her eyes is singularly unique among many actresses. I know that i am not going out on a limb to say with Ms Blunt its a matter of not if she will win an Academy Award but a matter of when. Patting myself on the back i also saw that same quality in Natalie Portman in the movie THE PROFESSIONAL and Amy Adams in the movie CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. There is something different about Ms Blunt though. Of course her looks are a factor but having said that i cant take my eyes off her while she is on screen which is the hallmark of extraordinary talent.

mr jaeckel
29 January 2011
The death scene involving the characters of Mr. Newman and Mr. Jaeckel was as moving and emotional as i have seen in 70 years of watching films. Others have stated that this film fails to live up to the novel by Ken Kesey. On its own merit this reviewer takes under consideration the fine ensemble acting and the rich photography to make this film memorable. Lee Remick, because of her talent, always turns in a believable performance. This movie is being featured on some movie channels this weekend, so i strongly recommend it to viewers. Its important to note the direction of Paul Newman. This is one his earliest directorial efforts.

neff and the rug
24 March 2009
Warning: Spoilers
the dialogue is about as good as it gets especially where phyliss mentions the speed limit in the state---there is 1 error i noticed--neff said he and Lola went behind the Hollywood bowl yet it appears the front of the bowl is facing them--I've been to the bowl and thats the impression i got--this movie has its minor holes but the overall film is a masterpiece--by the way if i had to name a perfect film it would be Lawrence of Arabia---story photography acting music--in closing I've always wondered why wilder had neff straighten out the rug---i don't think i have seen it mentioned ever in posts--not to be too lurid I'm thinking maybe it suggests lovemaking---am i wrong--please respond--thanks for this venue

Julie warner
31 May 2008
i would like to say that Julie warner is 1 freaking gorgeous woman!! ever since i first saw her in doc Hollywood I've thought this. true not a classic beauty like a zeta Jones, but I'm not interested in classic beauty--Mrs warner is the kind of woman that i notice in a room---the kind of woman that stops traffic---I'm trying to make this comment reach 10 lines so i will continue to make my point---uncaged heart or i guess its know as passions web relies heavily on Julie warner and its not a great movie--her character makes it believable to me. the camera loves her and i look for ward to any of her upcoming projects---if she reads this --Mrs warner you have a fan--thanks for this venue--IMDb--rg
