House on Haunted Hill (1999)
great movie, annoying effects
**watch out. There might be a plot-spoiler** Why oh why do people always ruin an awesome movie with stupid special effects? That's what went wrong with The Haunting and that's what went wrong with this great movie House on Haunted Hill. It begins really good. Great actors and a great script. And with a cutie like Taye Diggs it can't go wrong hehe. The beginning was really interesting. Even the extras was so good that I had to watch. But they had to put some special effects in there. They couldn't just leave the movie alone. They had to ruin it. There is this big weird shadow following the survivors. Then the dead peoples heads comes out of the shadow. Weird I know. Well I would give the hole flick an 8 outta 10
Smilla's Sense of Snow (1997)
An ok movie
Like most people I think the beginning is pretty good, but I think it seems so unbelievably stupid that everyone in Denmark speaks English. Even the police speaks English to each other and so does the rest of Copenhagen. If you took a walk in Copenhagen you would find that most people are speaking Danish. Besides that the beginning was really interesting but the end is really confusing. You have no idea, what people are talking about. It is not at all the actors fault 'cause they all did a great job, especially Julia Ormond and Gabriel Byrne, but they are talking so fast and then suddenly they shut up and expects us to understand the plot. I didn't.
I would give ** out of *****
Der 90. Geburtstag oder Dinner for One (1963)
Funny, Funny, Funny
In Denmark they show this sketch every single year on New years eve. And every single year I watch it. It's a tradition in my family. I don't think I'll ever get tired of it 'cause Freddie Frinton (the butler) is SO funny. He's a very good actor. When you first start laughing you can't stop.
I would recommend it to everyone who haven't seen it yet. It is funny, funny, funny.
She Cried No (1996)
Great movie
This movie is great. Although I wouldn't call it original. Movies like this have been made for years. But this is still different. I can't exactly put my finger on what it is that makes it so different. It could be the amazingly talented cast members. I can't say. Candace Cameron Bure plays the part as the young student Melissa perfect. Mark-Paul Gosselaar plays his part as Scott Baker so good that you actually hate him. I hope that the guys who sees this movie will understand what rape can do to a girl and that if she says no she means it. And I hope that the girls will take better care of them self after watching this movie.
The Faculty (1998)
Cool!
*Might be plotspoiler*
This might be the best movie ever! Okay, I'll have to admit, it does look a bit like 'bodysnatchers' but I think it's supposed to look like it or else the movie wouldn't have a meaning. But the special-effects are SO good! The acting is perfect. And I like the idea of mixing old well-known actors and new, not so well-known actors, in one movie. I also think it's good that the aliens doesn't turn into ugly green monsters (then the movie would be lame) I've seen this movie three or four times know and it just gets better and better. I hope that all the young actors will keep on acting for many years to come, especially Shawn Hatosy, Josh Hartnett, Clea DuVall and Elijah wood (I know he will 'cause he's been in so many movies already).
