We're the Government -- and You're Not (2005)
Pointed comments
I was impressed with the way the filmmaker was able to do such a good short on such a small budget, and cram so much humor in his observations about government intrusion. Glad I saw it today!
All 3 sections are well acted and professionally shot. I was impressed with the night shot in the park- very sharp.
For such a small film, he picked good actors- many of them are very good at their line(s), with only one or two weak links. The first dissident is very good. The voice-over actor is superb. I can't say enough good things about this short film. Congratulations to the director!
Hope more people will check it out!
Urbania (2000)
Must be seen twice
Funny, moving and mysterious story of one man's pursuit of a dangerous looking man. Don't let anyone spoil this film for you- it makes so much sense at the end you'll have to watch it again. Futterman is great, and Matt Keeslar is beautiful and touching. 10 star film.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997)
Best show on TV
I think that BtVS will stand as one of the most creative, engaging and unique shows ever to be broadcast. Alternately an after school special (with vampires) and a comic farce to rival "I love Lucy", Buffy deftly blends contrasting genres with a wit and style not seen since Moonlighting. The dialog is fast and funny, and the chewy moral center challenges the viewer to look for deeper meaning. Great stuff.
