Finding Neverland (2004)

Beautiful, simply beautiful

Honestly, I had not heard of this movie until yesterday, when my friends got exited about the prospect of this movie being shown in the weekly Sneak Preview event. Most people in the audience were hoping for "Ocean's 12", and were disappointed the movie was "Finding Neverland" I myself was also hoping for "Ocean's 12", but decided to stay, and boy, am I glad I did, as I watched one of the best, if not the best, movie in 2004. "Finding Neverland" was the first movie in a long time that moved me to tears right at the end. Normally the audience is very exited after a Sneak Preview, but the end is so touching that the audience was completely quiet. So was everybody in my regular group of Sneak watchers, one was even crying as she was thinking of lost ones, as was I.

Truly a beautiful movie, a real gem that touched me deeply.

Star Trek: Nemesis (2002)

Woops, they did it again ...

SPOILER ALERT !!!

Being a huge Star Trek fan, what I am about to say is possibly a very big shock: yesterday in the Sneak Preview in Leuven, they decided to show Star Trek Nemesis, and I left the theatre !!! Along with more than half of the audience ... I had somehow already obtained the movie, and must say it is one of the biggest disappointments I have had to suffer as a Star Trek watcher ... bad script, too many bad scenes, too many loose ties (already mentioned here before), and to top it all off: an ending that has already been done !!! It would be bad if it would have been an non-Star Trek movie, but this is the exact same ending (theme-wise) as The Wrath of Khan, and that is the biggest insult to the second best Star Trek movie of all times !!!

Currently I am not really waiting for another Star Trek movie (even with another crew), and the quality of Enterprise is also going down ... Berman, Piller and Co are not a good thing for Star Trek ...

Final Destination 2 (2003)

This a horror movie ???

As a Thriller / Horror movie this was awful, not for one single second was I thrilled or horrified ... Actually my friend and I thought that as a comedy this is actually a very good movie, we laughed from start to finish ... I do not believe how fans of thriller and/or horror movies can catalogue this as a classic in this genre, it was obviously not ...

Twice Upon a Yesterday (1998)

Great and Surprising Movie

At first I thought that this movie was turning into a disappointment, but gradually I started to like this film, and the way the characters are well written. There is a lot of humour in the movie, but the main storyline is one that sets you thinking about past relationships (at least I started to). The end is predictable, but not bothering at all.

This movie is highly recommended, if you can not decide what to rent, ask for this title, and you will not be disappointed.
