The Secret World of Alex Mack: The Storm (1997)
Lame-ass clip show
Like the horrible Simpsons clip shows, this episode is not worth seeing at all. So let me tell you what happens in this episode; it will save you 24 minutes of your life:
Annie and Alex are home alone and the power goes out. They reminisce about their life since Alex's accident. We see Alex using her powers to zap stuff. We see Alex morphing. We see Alex levitating things. Then the only "real" thing in this episode happens: Annie says she got accepted to MIT yesterday and didn't say anything about it until now. There. That's all this episode is about. Now go on and watch the next episode.
Epic Movie (2007)
A star per laugh
I normally rate "bad" movies higher than the average IMDb user. Speed 2 was bad, but it didn't deserve a 3.3 in my opinion. So I saw Epic Movie, just to see if it was really as bad as others say it was. Well, I can only conclude one thing: yes, it is. I'm sure there are lots of people who will have the time of their life watching this movie, but I'm not one of them. During the 80 minutes this film lasted, I laughed twice. So here they are (you could consider them spoilers): The first time was during the faun version of Scarface. A faun said "I'm Tony Fauntana!" and a smile appeared on my face. The second laugh was at the "White Castle" remark. If you didn't see "Harold & Kumar go to White Castle", you won't get it. And then there was the tachometer that went to 11. Nice reference to Spinal Tap, but not enough for a laugh. --"spoilers" end here--
This was the last time I ever watch a movie that is on the Bottom 100 list. Do yourself a favor and don't watch this movie!
Plump Fiction (1997)
The best thing...
...about this film was the title song. After 30 minutes, I discontinued watching because it was so lame. Bad story, bad actors, bad movie. If you want to watch a good movie, watch Pulp Fiction instead.
Requiem for a Dream (2000)
This movie has it all
This movie really does have it all. The story is great, and is carried out by 4 great acting persons. Then there's the camera work, this is superb. The director makes excellent use of good camera views, and this really adds something special to the movie. The music is great too, no wonder they used it for Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. The sound effects you hear occasionally are very good, they create a special sphere that also adds to the movie. The cutscenes, used a lot in the movie, are perfect. They are really well done and these too add to the movie. All things considered, this really is a movie you've got to see, and you will love from the first minute you see
The Others (2001)
Comparable to The Sixth Sense
The Others is a great movie, comparable to The Sixth Sense. The movie has humor in it, some pretty frightening scenes, and a great ending I won't spoil here. If you liked The Sixth Sense, and/or other ghost movies, you will definitely like The Others too
8 Mile (2002)
Only for hip-hop fans
8 Mile is a good movie, if you like hip-hop. 8 Mile is based on Eminems life, and if you don't like rap music it probably isn't any fun. A big part of the movie is about 'rap battles', two rappers rapping against each other. If you don't like that, the movie is only half the fun.
Mean Machine (2001)
Pretty nice
The pretty original story (even though it's a remake...) worked out into quite a good movie. The camera usage during the soccer match is great, and the music used fits the movie very good too
The Fast and the Furious (2001)
Good car-movie
The Fast and the Furious is a good movie about cars. The cars look superb, the females are good looking, the camera work is great and the story is quite good too. Definitely worth to watch if you like fast cars
