Tremors (2003)
Tremors tv series a big letdown.
The first TREMORS movie was great and I've seen it several times. After viewing the first two tv-series episodes, I give a thumbs DOWN. Not only is the tv cast less convincing than the 1st Tremors movie, the premise of the show is weaker. The SFX are just not enough to save this series. I doubt it will last the whole season.
Destination Moon (1950)
WAY UNDERRATED FOR ITS TIME
To those who viewed this with unfavourable opinions; I wonder if you really expected it to contain the FX we see in current sci-fi flicks? To the others; we appreciate the efforts of George Pal and others to create a scene that is "out of this world", well before it was factual; we recognize true forward thinking. This picture should definitely be more accessible, and televised on commercial stations for being serious about what was to come even sooner than most dreamed it would.
The Mask (1994)
Positive review by non-Jim Carrey fan.
Altho' Mr. Carrey is a fellow Canadian, I have not enjoyed any of his other roles in Hollywood movies. This is a notable exception. There is no question in my mind of Mr. Carrey's abilities, he just seems to have starred in movies I was not interested in. Hats off to Jim Carrey.
Red Hot Riding Hood (1943)
CLASSIC CARTOON I NEVER TIRE OF VIEWING
I feel Tex has not been given the full credit he deserves for his innovative cartoon work. While 'Bugs' and 'Mickey' continue running, Tex's creations rarely appear on commercial television. I wonder if Tex's work may be viewed as either risque of politically incorrect!
The Night Holds Terror (1955)
Saw both this & The Desperate Hours, but 40 years apart!
Saw "The Nite Holds Terror" in 1956. Enjoyed it so much I wanted to see it again, but it was showing for just 2 or 3 days in my small home town. I don't recall it ever coming to nearby towns or being listed on tv and wondered why. Perhaps because the Humphrey Bogart version called "The Desperate Hours" garnered a larger following. Did not see the Bogart version until June 2002 and even after 40 years I see the remarkable similarities. I think the pictures were equally as good. Thank you.
