L.A. 7 (2000)
so bad it's disturbing
It's ok. if I hear an s-club 7 song in the radio, the music goes in the same lame category (britney, n'sync...)that entertains a little while without too much irritation. But the show... The reason I'm writing this is because the show really got my eye(and my ear), you see, because of the obvious lack of acting skils. The guys actually act so poorly that it's disturbing. The script isn't so good either, the situations where the characters are placed are quite childish. Ha ha ha, Bradley accidentally threw the window washing water at someone's face because he didn't notice the window was open...to make an example. Summary: If your under 10 or under minded, or if you think s-clubbers are brilliant actors...go for it! I won't keep you from watching it. If you want to go on a more advanced level, watch "Clueless"; the less annoying, slightly better american version of "S-Club 7".
Stealing Beauty (1996)
Truly a beauty
Why is it so that every time a non-Hollywoodactionfilm comes out someone is there to say: Boring. I must say that I loved the film, it's a jewel and, as you know, they don't grow in trees. Bernardo Bertolucci has gift in creating a certain, silent atmosphere and tension between the characters, which made "Stealing Beauty" very interesting. Not to forget the actors, they were very good. Liv Tyler made Lucy to bee a bit shy, but then again a very curious young woman. And because of that all the other characters were all the time very curious about her, and around her. That, I think, was the thing that created the tension. Pretty much all of the reviewers have mentioned the landscape, and I'm not going to make an exception to that. Toscany was just the right place. Calm, relaxed and beautiful enough so that it doesn't steal the attention too much. In some other place this film would have become completely different. I'm only sixteen, but I think I've seen enough films to say that "Stealing Beauty" truly is one of the best I know.
