Not what you may expect. I do not understand how such a good film has not been noticed. Everyone I know who has seen it has loved it too. Great film with interesting plot twists and a good story. And for those people afraid of sci-fi, don't worry, it's minimal in the movie, just sit back and be entertained. Don't take my word for it, go see it for yourself!

Harry Potter coincidence

Did you notice that the hero in the movie is a boy named Harry Potter and he is surrounded by a fantasy world of trolls, witches, wizards and magic? Of course, this was long before J.K. Rowling's famous Harry Potter novels were ever written and started a following with kids everywhere. Could this be the inspiration? I have certainly never read any of the stories, but I am aware of its subject matter and it seems to be quite a coincidence!
This movie was fun when I saw it as a child, but i recommend it only for viewers over 10 (it may scare younger viewers).
The late Sonny Bono was in this film as a sleazeball that gets it. June Lockheart (and her fair daughter), most famous for "Lassie" and "Lost in Space" play the princess turned good witch. The movie also contains a young Julia Louis-Dreyfus prancing around like a fairie which may get a rise out of you.
