The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017)
Loved it
Absurdly awesome, ridiculous while engaging, audacious yet funny with a subtle yet satisfying ending. Enough said.
Yesterday (2019)
Hidden gem
Fantastic movie! Some little-known actors and actresses and some well-known did a fantastic job of delivering everything just right. The plot is fantastic and execution was a little awkward but that lends to the beauty of this film. I can't believe I never heard of this movie before finding it on Amazon prime. What a fantastic surprise it was.
The Assignment (2016)
No hablo español
A decent movie with great actors and actresses. I'm not sure if it was the screenplay writing or the direction but their usual great performances were not up to their usual par. I would have given this movie two more stars if the spanish-speaking dialogue actually had subtitles to know what they were saying. There was not a ton of it but there was enough where a non Spanish speaking person got bored waiting for them to start speaking English again. I'm not sure if this was on purpose and included in the original movie or if this is just a screw up by Netflix. Either way, it was very irritating
McMillions (2020)
Great documentary!
Thank goodness this documentary was made. The story never really came out the way it should have (for good reason). However, this filled in all the blanks and has a fantastic ending!
The Outsider (2020)
Total let down
Pretty suspenseful and entertaining thank you Siri is based on a Stephen King novel should be right up until the last episode. Unfortunately, the last episode is absolute crap. Extremely unrealistic and anticlimactic with a horrible ending.
Deep Burial (2017)
Another good movie ruined by the ending
I don't need a fancy sci-fi big budget movie but at least have an ending that is worth a crap. I'm so sick and tired of these movies running out of budget before they can film a decent ending. Unbelievable.
Light of My Life (2019)
Another good movie ruined by a horrible ending
Starts out really slow but a very high-quality movie, plot and cinematography. Some really thrilling moments and a great storyline. However, the ending completely ruins yet another good movie. I will never understand why some think it is a good idea to have an ambiguous ending. That is not an ending!
The Last Days on Mars (2013)
Yet another horrible ending
No spoiler but just know the ending is extremely anticlimactic and leaves tons of questions. What is with movies lately that cannot produce an ending anymore? Who are the people that think that the end of a movie without a definitive ending is good?
Unlocked (2017)
Wasted potential
How can you have such a blockbuster cast and great story have screwed up the execution so badly? None of the Arabic had translation and there was significant Arabic dialog. Many of the scenes were extremely unrealistic, especially in the transition.
High Life (2018)
Junk
Waste of 2 hours of my life. They had a glove hanging from a string to simulate no gravity in space for F sake! Another example of too much art and not enough quality movie.
Virtual Revolution (2016)
Seriously?
How in the world does this have three and a half Stars out of five on Amazon prime? It definitely does not even deserve the 4.9 out of 10 it has on IMDb. anybody that gives more than one or two stars must have been involved in the making of it in some way shape or form. Horrible acting, bad cinematography and extreme low budget quality.
The World's Best (2019)
Winning act with no TV performance
How can the performer(s) win the $50,000 prize in a category and we do not even see the performance on TV? Worst producing I have ever seen! I'm done watching the show.
