Even though in my opinion it had a very slow start, the movie managed to keep me entertained as the film went on. In my opinion the actor that played the role the best was done by Clifton Webb who had this way about him you couldn't help but like throughout the film. Also, one critic about the film was I felt it was very predictable, so when the ending came around, as the audience member watching you weren't necessarily caught off guard. For the drama side of things in the film the character Laura definitely met the standards for that as well. If you are a person who really enjoys romance, then I definitely recommend for you to watch this film.

Off the bat I liked how how realistic the film came off to me, while I watching this film I could tell that they did their research and took their time out on how they wanted to portray Mr.Lincoln in the best and real way possible. Even though it does start off slow, it quickly picks up pretty quickly. The plot line in opinion couldn't have been done been better, but there were at time where the movie did become stale for me in my opinion. I would recommend this movie to a friend, but not a movie I would watch multiple times.

As much as I have been liking all the movies I've been watching, I just couldn't find myself enjoying this movie for a couple reasons. The sense of humor that they portrayed in this film wasn't my kind of humor in my opinion. I found a hard time connecting the with characters and feeling the emotion which is not usual the case for me when I watch movies. Also, in my opinion the plot line did not have enough substance to keep me as the audience engaged.

Coming from a younger audience, I have watched the more recent Dracula films that have been released and this film made me realize why people always say "There's nothing like the original". Also, in the 1930's there was not a lot of films in the genre of horror like this film except for Frankenstein which in my opinion really jump started horror films as I know them in present day. I think Lugosi had the best acting of out all the actors, even watching the film in present day can give you a little chills by how well he plays his character, so I can only imagine how scary it must've been for audience in the 1930's.

I especially liked this film because it included events that actually took place in history which made the film that much more alive for me and more engaged. There is not a moment in the film where you are getting bored, throughout the entire film they did a great job keeping the spectator on their feet. The acting from Cagney was outstanding as he played Brick Davis, he made me almost forget he was acting at some points of the film which shows how superb of a job he did. All in all the movie is jam packed with action and the way the movie began was done brilliantly.

Out of the few silent films that I have seen in my life this is ranked among the best one in my opinion. All the characters especially sherlock really makes you as the audience feel as if they are talking with how well they were able to act out emotion and the plot. It was very creative overall, but especially in the scene where the bad guys were chasing young sherlock, it displayed humor and innovation all in one. It was definitely very well thought out film and unique.
