Are you people for real
28 October 2012
Went to see the movie in imax. After the end of the movie i realised this is one among the worst bond movies i have ever seen. The opening song was good visually i would say. No storyline continuation. Where is the hard drive ?? Where are the gadgets, women and style you see in all bond movies. Where do you get all these raving reviews. If you are true bond lover, this movie is a shame to bonds legacy. I would wait until all these fake proud reviewers have praised bond enough. Its just like another taken 2 movie. M and her love for her work is the only positive i see in this movie. Bond is just not bond enough in this movie. Someone directing the next bond movie please give a serious thought to what all the previous bond movies had in them. A decent plot, a real bond and some believable gadgets just for the fun at least and yeah some women.

One of the best I have seen
13 August 2011
This is one of the best movies in Tamil I have seen in recent memory. This movie is out with a message - LOVE. If there is no love in this world then whats the point in our existence. Vikram has performed exceptionally well in this movie and very well supported by the whole team. The music is excellent including the background which is noteworthy and supports the acting skills of everyone in this movie. The cute little girl has outperformed everyone in this movie and the screenplay is perfect. Thanks again to the whole team for delivering a beautiful movie and kudos to the director and i expect to see more meaningful movies from the Tamil industry

Watch it without great expectations
3 October 2010
I went with great expectations to see the most awaited movie in India. This movie is an adaption from the novel written by the late writer Sujatha. Its been a dream for Shankar to bring this story into reality.

Introduction scene of Rajnikanth - I have seen almost all Rajni's films till now he has acted. From the 90's till now at least i would say, his introduction scene is one among the most anticipated scene for all his die hard fans. Boy what an intro scene in this movie - turning his back and not attending a phone call - cud have been better The main message behind the story was how by harnessing technology in all fields, we could save lives of people. Very good idea and nicely told. The concept of Man and Machine and its conflict with right and wrong is told neatly.

Introduction of Chitti the Robot - Did the director wanted the robot to appear so artificial, or was that the best effort by the graphical and makeup team i cant guess. It leaves the viewer in 2 minds. Thrilling 1st half i would say the movie was.

Aishwarya - Man she looks old and out of shape, but just to suit Rajnikanth.

the 2nd half of the movie is too lenghty and too boring. Many logical points have been missed in the 2nd half. Songs come now and then and do not synchronise too well with the movie. Music could have been better and doesn't feel like ARR's.

The last 30 mins of the movie is where the money has been spent on. Graphics is OK and the idea behind to project the robots in a draconian way shud be appreciated. My 9 yr old nephew sitting next to me got scared looking at the monstrous giant robots resembling anaconda.

This is a film centered around the story and would be a letdown for a normal film viewer and goes too well with rajni fans only. The heart and soul of the movie is CHITTI the ROBOT. Watch it without great expectations and ur in for a treat.

The after effects of releasing the movie is that every 15 mins i see the movie advert and all sorts of people appreciating the movie on Sun TV. The viewers of Sun TV have to live with this torture for at least another 6 months and the functions to follow.

one beautiful feel good movie - watch it and then comment
24 July 2010
this is one really really feel good movie where dileep and nayanthara have acted expectionally good. the story starts with the young dileepan wanting to become a bodyguard. then the hero grows up and eventually becomes the bodyguard of thiyagaran's family. he goes to college with nayanthara and this is where the logic of the movies wobbles a bit. after that the chemistry is perfect between nayan and dileepan. this is really a wonderful love story i have seen in recent times. forget the title of the movie- the rest of the movie is a treat. beautiful songs and good choreography. i wud let the viewers watch the movie and then comment here. i wud recommend this definitely.

One of the rare tamil films
21 January 2010
Firstly I would like to congratulate the director for his bold effort in making this movie. We often see commercials flicks and never get a chance to see an epic movie in Tamil Let me start from the 1st half. all the way entertaining and every song in the 1st half is choreographed differently. u will see some brilliant visuals. the background music is also great in this movie. the last song of the 1st half Un Melaa Asaa thaan is very catchy. Karthi, Andrea and Reema have understood the story so well and u will see them getting along with the plot so well and the movie moves around with rapid pace. Enter 2nd half and Parthiban. He is definitely in line to get an award for his role.To construct such a set and to dress up so many people like nomads requires a lot of time and patience. The director has spent so much thought to visualise the people of chola dynasty and his efforts can be seen on the screen. The last twenty minutes will leave the viewers wondering should the movie end like this. But the director is clearly winning from this strategy. U go and watch a visual great epic tamil movie and think it was the best way to end the movie. The camera and director make this movie work.I have seen the movie twice and im definitely going to watch it again and only in the cinema hall only. A must watch movie for all south indians.
