Deo geullori (2022)
Could not stop watching
From the very start I could not stop watching this show.
The storyline is amazing, the acting is solid and the whole thing is just captivating.
The only reason I'm not giving this a 10/10 is because of the finale.
The part where Yeo-jeongs mother was suddenly on the abandoned rooftop to stop Dong-eun from jumping was unrealistic to me.
And when the 2 protagonists finally kiss there's just no chemistry between them.
Also, I kinda hate open endings and The Glory has just that. We can see where it's going but we don't get the full picture start to finish.
However, this is not enough to lower the score of the overall show.
I would definitely recommend watching this!
1899 (2022)
Disappointing ending ruins it all
The first few episodes are tedious, very slow and uneventful.
Halfway the series that changes and it gets interesting, the mystery is starting to take shape and there's a decent amount of character development.
The closer we get to the end the stranger things will become and you will lose sight of what's real and what's not.
And then there's the finale where it all implodes into nothingness.
Everything that happened will get lost including the character development we experienced, there will be no explanation for anything that happened throughout the series.
Instead you're suddenly in space..
That's it, that's the whole conclusion.
Awful ending, it made me regret watching this.
The acting is great though and the setting looks really good. That's also why this is so disappointing because it had all the ingredients for a great succes, it was just missing the right storyline.
Also just a disclaimer; I had not seen any promotions for this so I wasn't aware of the connection to Dark, I came into this with a clean slate.
Independence Day: Resurgence (2016)
Endless stream of cliches
It's like someone wrote down all the cliches they could find, tied them loosely together with an alien theme and called it a day. The cast couldn't even save this movie, the script is that bad.
Eden Lake (2008)
Over the top illogical
The storyline is ok and the acting is good, this has all the potential to be a good movie. However, it's so filled with bad choices and unrealistic escapes that it's kind of hard to watch and very frustrating.
The Wolf of Snow Hollow (2020)
Awful acting
The acting is just so awful, I don't remember the last time I saw a worse movie.. It was just comical at times.
Maggie (2015)
Gone from realistic to unrealistic halfway through the movie
This could have been a great film but left me a bit disappointed at the end.
The acting, altough not terrible, isn't great.
The storyline is very realistic and I think we can relate in some ways what they are dealing with so that pulls you in immediately.
Where this movie lost me is with the many many unbelievable and plain stupid choices that were made.
For instance, there's a deadly virus going round turning people into zombie-like creatures and this girl clearly caught it but her best friend still hugs her and takes her out? And the parents let her go and encourage her to hook up? That makes absolutely no sense!
This is one of the many things that made this story unbelievable in the end. I know people can be very stupid and do stupid things but it was just too much. Such a shame.
Pinocchio (2019)
Torture to watch
This is truly torture.
I am sitting in the cinema as I'm writing this, it's that bad.
The movie is nothing like the original fairytale, nor are the characters.
Pinocchio gets executed twice and ends up in a haunted mansion.
The acting is terrible and the costumes even worse. Would not recommend, especially for young children.
Session 9 (2001)
Not impressive
I was not impressed with this movie.
The beginning seemed amaturistic and the ending felt a bit rushed.
The story has numerous plotholes, things just don't make sense. Also the characters feel shallow, we don't really get to know them at all.
It's not a terribly bad movie, if you have nothing to do this might be a good watch. However, if you want something amazing you're better off watching Shutter Island.
The Silence (2019)
Enjoyable
I liked this movie for the most part. The acting is allright and this kind of story is always a good watch.
However, the pastor thing was weird and left us with too many questions and after that the movie kinda just ends. It's a bit unsatisfying and it felt rushed, like one minute you're in the middle of a story and the next minute it's over.
Quicksand (2019)
So good!
This is definitely worth your time! Great acting and an even better storyline, i highly recommend watching Quicksand.
