While watching this movie, I kept imagining if this was how horrible it was for those people when this true story really happened. By the end, my heart went out to all of them. It was a good portrayal of what may have happened, and I enjoyed it immensely.

Does every movie have to be a Titanic to be entertaining? I don't think so. This movie is cute. It's adorable. There's magic, and you don't know how or why. You can't tell if it's really happening to them or just in their minds because they're in love. Sometimes it's good to see something that's a little magical and a lot about the positive side of love. I agree that this would be a good movie for kids, to teach them that love doesn't have to be cruel and abusive...it can be magical and have a happy ending. If you liked Cinderella, you'll like this one too!

This movie is indeed about a Rip Van Winkle type situation, but there are various plot aspects like who put him to sleep, how he deals with his family when he returns from the sleep, how he helps the town. It was especially nice to be reminded that yes, just one person CAN make a difference, and our small-town USA is worth saving. It reminds us that life is magic, it isn't about your money or your status, and it does so in a lovely Disney-reminiscent rated G fashion. Watch this one with your kids!
