Dolittle (2020)
Not that bad.
If you see a review that gives it 1 star, you have to question the credibility of the reviewer. It's not going to be a classic in years to come but an entertaining yarn none the less. The weirdest part of the film is Robert Downey jr accent. Cannot decide if he is English, Scottish or Welsh.
James May: Our Man in... (2020)
Brilliant
Great programme. Japan is top of my holiday wish list and this series cements this. Entertaining, funny and james may is a great hist. Yujiro is a gem in this series. So funny.
Worzel Gummidge (2019)
Christmas telly as it should be.
Mackenzie crook has taken a series I watched as a kid and brought it bang up to date without making it a platform to preach what bad people we are. There are messages there that are relevant but he does it with subtlety so you hear it and listen. All that aside it is beautiful to look at, funny and a good way to spend two hours of your life. This is what Christmas tv should be - original programmes that are good.
Cats (2019)
Not as bad as people say
Went to see cats without seeing the musical or knowing the story (Not much if a story though). Once you get over the actors being cats you can appreciate that is is a film with dancing and singing which is done very well. Jennifer Hudson singing memory is outstanding (she can bang out a tune!). I would say go see it with an open mind and you may well enjoy it.
Ad Astra (2019)
No spoilers
Visuals are stunning. Don't watch if you are expecting action/adventure. That said it is a film that draws you along and before you know it it's finished. Bit hammy in places but still worth watching.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
Monster!
Big monsters? Check. Big monsters smashing up cities? Check. Big monsters smashing up each other? Check check. Great film!
