Antoine Fuqua directed this movie and "Tears of the Sun." Both movies have the same plot: a small group of soldiers think they have completed their last mission but are sent to rescue and return an individual. The soldiers end up leading a group of people to freedom while being pursued by an army.
Now I am probably one of the biggest Bruce Willis fans out there but "Tears of the Sun" wasn't that great of a movie. Exactly what made them think "King Arthur" would be any different? But I cannot be entirely negative about this movie. Lancelot and a few of the other knights are some bad dudes that I would not want to mess with. The battle that occurs on the frozen lake is also probably one of my favorite scenes. (But again, it does strike a resemblance to a scene in field in "Tears of the Sun").
Bottom line -- Bruce Willis should have played King Arthur.
