Mr Inbetween (2018)
Already miss it
We've just watched the final episode, season 3, and we already miss the show, hoping for a fourth season. We really liked the conflicted Shoesmith and l o v e d the weird, often totally unnecessary dialogues here and there. Often cracked us up, or got us discussing those weird things.
Supernanny (2005)
Professional
Frost helps those who cant help their kids on their own. Yes, it's great wonders every time, and yes it's tv pilished, but hey - she's helping, I'm sure.
Failure to Launch (2006)
Enjoying
Nah... I don't get it; why the low ratings? I enjoyed it, and even watched a whole comedy.
Yellowstone (2018)
I don't care
I love the scenery and to be part of the ranch life style. Costner is handsome and his acting good. He does the rile he always do. No surprises. Also, Kelly Reilly (Beth) is acting breathtakingly good. She makes us laugh and sometimes care a bit.
Otherwise... I'm seven episodes in and could quit watching anytime, just like that. I couldn't care less, and I really don't understand the high rating below. This is a fancy production, but the acting or the script, or perhaps both, isn't good enough to make me care. My 7 is because I feel to embarrassed to rate lower, and it sure is beautiful to watch. Still hoping, though.
Breathe (2017)
Got me crying
I dont cry often, but for some reason.... So. Do you want to se a beautiful and inspiring film, this might be a good choise. Since I cant think of anything to improve, it's a ten in it's genre. Good job, young Cavendish & co.
The Undoing (2020)
Creepy feeling
I've seen two episodes, and can't wait to write a review. I watched home alone, in the evening, and akthough I'm not a skiddish person it was kind of creepy, even after I had turned the TV off. Good job, Bier & co! Two actors I think deserves extra cred is Noah Jupe and - of course - Nicole Kidman. Christ, you're extraordinary!
To my ridiculously big joy, I just noticed that the third episode is available. It's daylight outside, that's kind of good, but I think I just have to leave the blinds down. It's kind of thrilling, feeling a bit freaked out. Enjoy you all!
Doctor Sleep (2019)
Yeah!
Watch it. You wont be disappointed. Even less if you turn the lights down and throw your cell out through the window. Stay focused, and you'll be amused, to say the least.
Joker (2019)
Wow. Just wow.
Loved it. Still, after a couple of weeks, the soundtrack is playing in my head and on Spotify, I suddenly see the stair dance in my head, think about other scenes or - for some reason - talk about the film with my students. Beautiful, creepy, amusing and sad; of course you should watch.
Instant Family (2018)
Amusing
I kind of knew what I was going to get, I got it and you know what? I really enjoyed it, laughing out loud sitting by myself - okey almost; the irish terrier curled up beside me. he's not allowed but who can blame him - on the couch a tuesday evening. Watch it you too.
My Octopus Teacher (2020)
Amazing
This documentary took my breath away, and I think it was the first time I cried, watching one. Wow... just wow.
Avatar (2009)
Unforgettable
I remember the man I live with and our kids went to the movies to see it. I - caught up in work and family life - thought it was kind of a kids movie. Later we all saw it at home, and did I regret not seeing it at the movies? Y e s. Will I stand first in line to get the tickets to the sequel? Damn right I am. The man's still around and the kids are all grown up, but I bet we'll be going all of us, plus a girlfriend :o)
The Goop Lab (2020)
Creates a curiosity
A very american production but I think it created a curiosity and a will to explore more. We've even talked about a goop lab on our own. Who knows?
