What Lies Below (2020)
Braden can't write or direct
This film is a prime example that having a degree in film theory and having a masters degree in film does not make you a writer or director in film let alone a storyteller.
Awful film, great lighting, that's it.
Daybreak (2019)
Had potential
This series was amazing, episodes 1-4 everything was on point and entertaining. After that, the rest of the series felt like there were different writers and directors who tired to make a high school drama. Considering the profanity and gore show in the first episodes the later episodes felt like they held back a lot.
So much potential just wasted towards the end and the music just doesn't fit.
Punisher: War Zone (2008)
Cult Classic in the Making
Ray Stevenson did an amazing job portraying exactly how the Punisher should have felt. You were able to get a real glimpse into why he does the things he does. No remorse for the wicked and evil.
This film was action packed and had a different feel for the storyline. Dominic West did an outstanding job as the Jigsaw and there was always a feeling that he was going to get his. A nice surprise was Doug Hutchinson who did a good job as the physcotic brother. The film flowed very nicely and had made sense which is very important in a film that is this fast paced. There was never a moment where there was to many screen cuts or to much camera motion. It flowed very smoothly.
The Music alone is worth seeing this film.
Doomsday (2008)
One of the best
This is one the best movies i've seen in a long time. This movie had everything in it. From both extremes of the spectrum. Sol played by Craig Conway added so much life to this movie, his enthusiasm in his character was off the charts, I don't think anybody could have done a better job. As for the lead actress Rhona Mitra, she did an outstanding job, her performance was incredible. The only thing I wish this movie had more of was Lee-Anne Liebenburg who played Viper, (the crazy looking girl with the tattoos on her face and is in all the trailers) but from what I saw in the way of Viper, she gave a superb performance. DoomsDay had all the right elements to a killer movie, everything about it was done in such a way that it will make your adrenaline pump throughout the entire movie. I walked out of that movie so happy and hyped, I'm happy I went and saw it and you should too.
Fight Club (1999)
Great Movie
This is a brilliant movie, it really goes deep inside the decay of society as Tyler Durden or the people of the U.S. sees it. Every word he says in his speech about we as middle age men or young adults, have no great war or no great depression, all of it is true, every word. We as people living in America right now, we have nothing to look forward to, maybe somebody's birth day or Christmas, but what do we really have. The government has us so tightly bound it is ridiculous, trying to control everything from wearing seat-belts and the video games we play to the control of other governments in other countries. This movie is almost a way to run your life with the whole "its only after we've lost everything that we are free to do anything." That is my opinion on this Great movie.
