Avatar (2009)

A phenomenal movie!

On the lush alien world of Pandora live the Na'vi, beings who appear primitive but are highly evolved. Because the planet's environment is poisonous, human/Na'vi hybrids, called Avatars, must link to human minds to allow for free movement on Pandora. Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), a paralyzed former Marine, becomes mobile again through one such Avatar and falls in love with a Na'vi woman (Zoe Saldana). As a bond with her grows, he is drawn into a battle for the survival of her world.

I recently just rewatched Avatar in preparation for the second movie coming out this month and I got to say it was as good as watching it the first time! First off the movie is so gorgeous to look at! For a 2009 movie the CGI and special effects are soooooo good! You won't be disappointed on that front! Every character is well written with everyone getting as much time in the movie so no one is left out!

Sam Worthington plays the most emotional depth character in the movie from being a marine in a wheelchair to becoming a avatar and finding love and purpose his story is a great one! Zoe Saldaña plays the very likeable love interest the hole movie you cheer on for these two to stay together to the very end! Stephen Lang plays one of the best villains in movie history he plays our very common human he wants to destroy this primitive race and take their lands so they can industrial it he is mean he is angry and I can't wait to see him in the second movie!

Overall this is one of the best movie of all film history everyone should at least see this movie once!

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (2022 TV Special)

A fun and goofy Guardians adventure!

The Guardians are on a mission to make Christmas unforgettable for Quill and head to Earth in search of the perfect present.

The movie is a small little adventure with Mantis and Drax! It's funny and goofy and it gives a lot more character development to Mantis! They make her more likeable and give her some martial arts so good on them for making her more of a character! The movie is full of cameos and introduces one of the best MCU characters to date! It has good music as always with the guardians! And it brings a bit of a emotional side!

Overall this movie would be great to watch with the kids, so sit down, relax and enjoy this very amazing holiday special!

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)

Can't believe how good this was!

Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M'Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T'Challa's death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with Nakia and Everett Ross to forge a new path for their beloved kingdom.

Going into this movie I wasn't sure what to expect from it. I wasn't sure how it would go without Chadwick Boseman. But I am very happy to say that this movie was so good! Director Ryan Coogler really out did himself with this one! The movie pays its respect Chadwick Boseman in such a good way it made me cry a little. The characters are very well written all having just enough time to shine! The music for this movie was super good couldn't believe how good it was! The special effects and CGI was great! Everything looked so good to look at!

Letitia Wright did a phenomena job playing Shuri and taking on the mantle of Black Panther can't wait to see more of her! Tenoch Huerta plays a menacing villain as Namor you love to hate him! Angela Bassett I think did the best job at the movie having the most powerful scenes and lines of dialogue I really do hope she wins a award for it!

Overall the movie is a worthy successor and I would encourage anyone to watch the second one!

Werewolf by Night (2022 TV Movie)

Better than expected!

On a dark and sombre night, a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader; the attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic.

This Halloween special I really liked first hearing about it I thought no way could wearwolf by might be big enough to get his own anything. But this really turned out great. The short is filmed in black and white witch gives it a very Halloween feel to it. And we are introduced to one of the best characters TED!

Overall it's a nice and little Marvel short that everyone can enjoy.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022)

Where did it all go wrong!

Jennifer Walters has a complicated life as a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.

So where do I begin..... this show isn't completely bad It's very comic accurate she hulk wears a very comic accurate suit, she breaks the 4th wall also comic accurate for people who think Deadpool did it first. The CGI holds up but the story itself is very bad it's all over the place but we do get some pretty sick cameos with Hulk, Wong, Daredevil and the return of Abomination so I am happy for that but everything else was super random especially the ending out of all the MCU stuff we get She-Hulk is by far the second worst one (with Thor the dark world being number one) I can't not express how bad this show was if it somehow gets a second season I hope that it gets way better.

Tatiana Maslany takes on the role of Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk and she doesn't do a bad job at it when I hear she-hulk talk I think of that voice. Mark Ruffalo returns but only for the first episode so don't expect to much from him he does appear at the end but I won't get into that. Tim Roth was one of the biggest let downs, Marvel has turned him into one of the most goofiest characters instead of the raging monster Abomination.

Overall the show has its good moments but it's a big let down all together.

Willow (2022–2023)

Interesting so far!

An unlikely group of heroes set off on a dangerous quest to places far beyond their home, where they must face their inner demons and come together to save their world.

Now I went into this show without knowing that there was a past movie to it. While writing this review I still have not seen the movie. So going into this movie without knowing anything was pretty easy to catch up with the past history. They do a good job on explaining what happened in the past movie and filling in the blanks so I didn't feel left out of anything. They movie is very nice to look at and the music to the show is awesome! Good job on that part! The characters are a little childish with childish issues which may set people off from the show. But the cast do a great job playing their characters!

Warwick Davis I think is the best part of the show. Being funny and amusing to watch! Erin Kellyman plays the reasonable character with a heart of gold and does a good job at it! Ruby Cruz by far plays the most annoying character so far in the show the way she acts towards the rest of the characters os super childish but hey she does a good job playing a annoying character! Amar Chadha-Patel plays the funniest character I found myself liking him the most. Ellie Bamber plays our unlikely hero of the story that I wasn't expecting but I do very much like that and can't wait to see where they take her character! And Tony Revolori plays the coward of the group he is not much a fighter and more of a book person but that's what he is good at just look at him in the Spider-man movies!

I give this movie a 6 out of 10 I don't think it's that bad of a show but it could really be better especially with the characters!

Miracle Workers (2019–2023)

A funny anthology series!

Miracle workers isn't like your typical anthology series normally each episode would be a different story with different characters in each one but Miracle workers changes every season instead of every episode. The show is hilarious with season 1 and 3 being the best and season 2 not so much. The set pieces and CGI usage is not the best and you can really notice how bad it is sometimes it is so bad that it is all you can focus on. The cast is the best part of the show and what makes it o funny. Steve Buscemi is the funniest person on the show but what else would you expect when you got Steve Buscemi! Daniel Redcliffe is a mixture he can be really funny and then he can be really doll he is really hit or miss. Everyone else is hilarious and they play off each other really well. Overall the show is super funny but at moments it can be dull.

Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare (2010 Video Game)

A great dlc by RockStar!

I loved the Red dead games and I just finished playing undead nightmare it's amazing a great expansion to the series it's takes all of the original characters from the first game and puts them into the zombies apocalypse it's the same open world as the first game but with zombies everywhere and you get to see what characters from the first game survived the zombie apocalypse! A great fun DLC to play.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human (2022 Video Game)

Fantastic game!

I played the first game I didn't like it as much as I liked the sequel. The games as some amazing graphics it's all looks so Beautiful and the combat is easy to learn and simple to use and it's so smooth. The parkour is way better in this game than the last it's much more easy to do than In the first game. The world is huge with so much to do and explore and the map is so good looking. The zombies are scary especially at night and the zombies have great designs. The story is great and the game lets you choose what to say and let's you make Choices that affect the world around you and the story! The voice acting is great and I had no clue that Rosario Dawson was in the game. Overall the games is fantastic and way better than the first.

Supergirl (2015–2021)

A good Dc movie to watch.

At 12 years old, Kara Zor-El escapes doom on planet Krypton to find protection on Earth with the Danver family, where she grows up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex, and learns to hide the extraordinary powers she shares with her cousin, Superman. Now an adult living in National City and working for media mogul Cat Grant, Kara finds her days of keeping her abilities a secret are over when super-secret agency head Hank Henshaw enlists her to help protect the city's citizens from threats. Finally coming into her own, Kara must juggle her new responsibilities with her very human relationships.

Now I can only talk about what I have seen of the show I have only watched the first 2 seasons of the show and I don't plan on watching the rest since I don't have time to watch all of the arrowverse but from what I've seen I got to say it's a good show. It really focuses on how Supergirl is still learning her powers and it also focusses a lot that she is nothing like her more famous cousin. If you are a big superhero nerd like me than you will also love all the small references and the characters that appear throughout this show. The characters are lovable and likeable and you absolutely hate the villains they really make their presents known to you. It manages to balance out the humour with the story they are trying to tell. And I like that the show isn't alway Focused on the main bad guy there is always a smaller villain that comes in during one episode that they need to stop before going on to stop the big bad guy. The CGI is not the best you can really tell how bad it is so I hope they fix that.

Overall it's a good show to watch every now and again you will especially like it if you are a Dc fan.

The Black Phone (2021)

A good horror movie to watch if you don't like Jump scares

Finney Shaw is a shy but clever 13-year-old boy who's being held in a soundproof basement by a sadistic, masked killer. When a disconnected phone on the wall starts to ring, he soon discovers that he can hear the voices of the murderer's previous victims -- and they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn't happen to Finney.

The movie is not that bad of a horror movie there are no jump scares but it is really brutal and it adds a supernatural twist to it that really works out but it's almost like every other serial killer movie out there the supernatural bits do make it better tho. The main lead kid is super quiet but it really works for this movie. Ethan Hawke is the best part of the movie he creepy and psychotic performance is the best every time he talked it gave me goosebumps. The supernatural bits were a fun twist to the movie and they used it to perfection.

Overall a good horror movie with some incredible acting.

Purple Hearts (2022)

Not a bad romance!

An aspiring musician agrees to a marriage of convenience with a soon-to-deploy Marine, but a tragedy soon turns their fake relationship all too real.

When first seeing this movie on Netflix I was so sure that I wouldn't watch it but then my aunt saw it and made me watch it with her. The movie doesn't have an original plot of any kind it's one of those Romance movies where the characters pretend to like each other but the more they are with each other the more they actually start to fall in love with one another that is what this movie is. Now the movie isn't that bad I ended up finding my self rooting for the characters to actually start liking each other and there are some pretty heavy hitting moments on the emotional side. And the acting is incredible almost feels to real.

Overall it's not a bad romance movie but there are some better ones.

10 Years (2011)

To many characters

Former high-school friends (Channing Tatum, Rosario Dawson, Justin Long and many others) meet again after a decade and discover that the passage of time has changed some things, but not others.

This movie has way to many characters in it and each of them have to tell their own stories and that ends up with us jumping around all over the place during the movie to see everyone's respected story the movie has around 11 to 12 main characters this leads to some characters getting way more screen time than some of the other characters and some of their stories aren't that interesting. I think if they made it around 6 characters it could have been better. But the movie and a top end cast with the likes of Channing Tatum, Rosario Dawson, Chris Pratt, Oscar Isaac, Justin Long, Anthony Mackie, Aubrey Plaza, and Jenna Dewan and many more to name, so you know the acting is going to be good since half the cast do Marvel and Dc movies. But the movie has a little bit of everything in it there is drama, romance, comedic bits, one of the characters even sings an original song.

Overall the movie is good and it has a bit of everything to satisfy most people and the cast is great just to many characters.

Luck (I) (2022)

A good movie to watch with the family.

The story of Sam Greenfield, the unluckiest person in the world. Suddenly finding herself in the never-before-seen Land of Luck, she must unite with the magical creatures there to turn her luck around.

The movies animation is so good to look at it's beautifully animated. And the cast do a good job voicing their characters Eva Noblezada is wonderful as the main character Sam and does a good job singing she has a beautiful singing voice. Simon Pegg is funny in this movie but that's no surprise and he speaks with a Scottish accent the hole time. Jane Fonda and Whoopi Goldberg are incredible but they don't get enough time in the movie to really utilize their talent. The movie has an interesting plot to it that really hits close to home for a lot of us we all had that one day where everything doesn't go your way.

Overall it's a great movie to watch with the family.

DC League of Super-Pets (2022)

A fun movie to watch.

Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime side by side in Metropolis. However, when the Man of Steel and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a ragtag group of animals to master their own newfound powers for a rescue mission.

When first going to see this movie I didn't know how to feel as I thought I might be to old to see a cartoon meant for children but I ended really liking this movie. The animation is so good and the voice acting is incredible but what do you expect when you get Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Heart in this movie with tons of other well known and talented actors like Keanu Reeves and John Krasinski just to name a few. The humour is really meant for children which I didn't find funny but I see how kids may find it. And there is even a really emotional scene that made me cry a little.

Overall this is a really good movie to take your kids to!

The Walking Dead (2010–2022)

The first few seasons were good but the newest ones have hit a downfall!

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, this gritty drama portrays life in the months and years that follow a zombie apocalypse. A group of survivors travel in search of safety and security, constantly on the move in search of a secure home. But the pressure each day to stay alive sends many in the group to the deepest depths of human cruelty, and they soon discover that the overwhelming fear of the survivors can be more deadly than the zombies walking among them. At times, the interpersonal conflicts present a greater threat to their continuing survival than the walkers that roam the country.

Now I am a big fan of the Walking dead mainly the comics series. After finishing the comic series I decided to watch the show and the first few seasons were so good but then it got to a point where it started going down hill the show ends up changing a lot of the stuff from the comics since season 1 onwards like the action some of the characters take and introducing characters that were never in the comic series and they don't even put some of the characters from the comic series into the show. Some of the characters end up living longer than their comic book counterpart and some end up dying way earlier than their comic book counterpart. Some of the changes do work out really well some of the others don't. The show has some really good special effects and CGI use especially on the gory kills. The acting isn't that bad ether I really enjoyed the cast as their played some of my favourite characters! But in most recent times I think the show has changed to much of it that it no longer works and they keep milking the series and I do know the show is ending but now they got 4 new spin-off show coming out.

Overall the shows is good at the beginning and gets bad near the end.

Day Shift (2022)

A funny movie.

A hardworking dad out to provide for his daughter uses a boring pool-cleaning job as a front for his real gig: hunting and killing vampires.

Just finished watching this movie and I got to say it's hilarious I found myself laughing way more than I should have. The story it's self is not that good it's an okay story but it's not the best. The action scenes are well choreographed and the CGI and special effects are good looking. Jamie Foxx manages to play the main character of the movie and he dose a good job playing a Dad who is just trying to make some money for his daughter while killing vampires! Snoop Dogg is as badass as ever in this movie he is hardly in it but for every scene that he is in is amazing. Dave Franco ends up being the funniest character in the movie he gets picked on the most and the worst things happened to him in the movie but that's what made him the funniest character! The movie does do a good job of bring us into a new fictional world of vampires and it's does a good job explaining why they are here and their abilities without taking the hole movie.

Overall the movie is very enjoyable and hilarious but on terms of story it's not that good but still Engageable!

Bullet Train (2022)

Not a bad over the top action movie.

Ladybug is an unlucky assassin who's determined to do his job peacefully after one too many gigs has gone off the rails. Fate, however, may have other plans as his latest mission puts him on a collision course with lethal adversaries from around the globe -- all with connected yet conflicting objectives -- on the world's fastest train.

I new going into this movie that it was going to be a funny, action packed movie. And that is what the movie ends up being. The movie has an incredible cast with likes of Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Sandra Bullock, Brian Tyree Henry, Michael Shannon and Hiroyuki Sanada and even a cameo appearance from Ryan Reynolds! The movie is really engaging and it keeps you on edge the hole time. Each character gets enough screen time to tell their story and get come character development and we even get some emotional scenes and a plot twist near the end of the movie. We also get one of the most annoying characters in the movie you will want this character to die trust me. The movie is really colourful and has some good shots. And if your a fan of action movies you will love this movie as the action scenes are choreographed well!

Brad Pitt is one of the funniest characters in the movie, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry being the other 2 funniest character. Michael Shannon playing a menacing villain who gave me goosebumps. Sandra Bullock is only a voice over the phone for the full movie until she actually appears at the end of the movie but she plays well with Brad Pitt. And Hiroyuki Sanada plays the wise old man who just wants to protect his family and get revenge against the man who killed his wife.

Overall it's a enjoyable movie for all to see!

Better Call Saul (2015–2022)

A really good spin off show.

He wasn't always Saul Goodman, ace attorney for chemist-turned-meth dealer Walter White. Six years before he begins to represent Albuquerque's most notorious criminal, Goodman is Jimmy McGill, a small-time attorney hustling to make a name for himself. He's a forceful champion for his low-income clients, an underdog whose morals and ambitions often clash. Jimmy works with private eye Mike Ehrmantraut, a former Philadelphia cop and recent transplant to the Southwest. Mike has a specialized skill set -- he's a "fixer" of sticky situations -- that Jimmy soon learns to appreciate.

I've always heard good things about this show so once I finished Breaking Bad I immediately started Bette Call Saul and it's not a disappointment. The show really catch's people interest when seeing that Saul Goodmen is actually named Jimmy and that he is a struggling man nothing like how we saw him in Breaking Bad we see as he cons people and how much of a good lawyer he really is but we also get to see returning breaking bad characters and see how their stories went before the events of Breaking Bad which really sets up the universe of breaking bad. The show is engaging and compelling with some incredible writing for the show.

Overall this is another great show by Vince Gilligan. If your a fan of Breaking Bad then you will also love this show.

Grand Theft Auto V (2013 Video Game)

Another great game by Rockstar

GTA 5 has a very compelling story with 3 great playable characters each of them having their own personalities, likes and dislikes and they all have their own ways of dealing with situations. The games has many side quest to do so there are tons of after math content. The combat is simple and easy to learn and people will love driving thought out the big open world map. There is always so much going on in this open world it makes it feel lively. There is also an online multiplayer so there is tons to do after Completing the main game. Overall the game is amazing with some good graphics and tons to do.

The Gray Man (2022)

Over the top action movie.

When the CIA's top asset -- his identity known to no one -- uncovers agency secrets, he triggers a global hunt by assassins set loose by his ex-colleague.

The Gray man is directed by the Russo brothers so I thought this was going to be a good movie especially since it's has a top end cast but the movie ends up being a John wick movie with action scenes every 5 minutes but if you like those types of movies then this movie is for you. On terms of story there isn't really one since there is more action than there is acting. Chris Evans is the best part of the movie has the main bad guy he plays a complete psychopath which we don't normally see him play as most people see him as the good guy. The movie is beautifully shot tho but the writing wasn't on par with it especially the character development there is some but not a hole lot. Ryan Gosling does an okay job as the main protagonist but again with no real story he ends up being really doll.

Overall the movie is just John Wick but with Ryan Gosling.

Once Upon a Time (2011–2018)

One of time favourite shows of all time!

"Once Upon a Time" tells the story of a new world, one in which fairy-tale legends and modern life collide. Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) is comfortable in her life as a bail bonds collector when Henry -- the child she gave up a decade earlier -- suddenly shows up. He is convinced that she is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, who sent her away before the Evil Queen could cast a spell, freezing the fairytale world in time and bringing them to present-day Storybrooke, Maine. After taking Henry home, Emma decides to stay in the town to keep an eye on him, and she discovers he may not be wrong after all.

After watching the first 2 episodes you will immediately get hooked to the show. The show immediately gets your attention with the hole fairy tale characters being in a modern world and that's what I love about the show it's a different take on the classic Disney characters! The show follows two different stories each episode one that takes place in the modern time and one that shows you what they did back in the fairy tale world! The shows has some fantastic writing and the CGI is mediocre it's not the best but it's also not the worst. The show is also really emotional it gives a strong message about family thought out every season and some of it can really get to you. The show is also really engaging and has some many plot twists that keep the show interesting. I would recommend only watch the 6 seasons and skip season 7 it is so bad they end up changing the hole show at season 7 and all the characters in it. It's better to just watch season one to six. And the acting is so good from the good guys to the bad guys to even the randoms. The show also some good cameo appearances from some well known actors.

Overall really good show that everyone should see!

Cyberpunk 2077 (2020 Video Game)

A great game with a terrible release.

Cyberpunk had one of the worst releases of all time. It had so much bugs and glitches that it was barely playable. But after a while majority of it was all fixed and that was when I got it. And after playing thought the game it's not that bad it's has a compelling story with some Beautiful graphics the open world feels alive and the combat is not that bad you basically become an unstoppable killing machine by the end of the game. Keanu Reeves was one of the best parts of the game he is with you all though out the story. The game also has it's own choice wheel where you pick what your character says and the choices you pick will affect the story as a hole. The game has about 6 different endings so there is always a reason to replay the game. There is tons of additional content to do after the game with tons of side quests and collectables to find. The game also lets you select your origin story and that will make different characters react to you differently and you can only meet certain characters depending on your origin story. Overall the game is not bad it just had a bad release I would recommend to play it now as the game is not that bad anymore.

Ms. Marvel (2022)

Not as bad as I thought it would be.

Kamala is a superhero fan with an imagination, particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel; Kamala feels like she doesn't fit in at school and sometimes even at home, that is until she gets superpowers like the heroes she's looked up to.

Now I am a big superhero nerd so when I heard that this show was coming out soon I didn't know how to feel. I felt like it is to early to introduce Ms Marvel to the MCU but it works out. The acting is incredible in this show Marvel does a good job finding the correct actors to play their characters. The writing for the show is okay and Kamala and her Mother have the best character development in the show. It's funny like every other marvel show. The CGI needs to be worked on especially in episode five you can really tell how bad the CGI is. I will also bring up that Marvel changed her super powers in the comics she is super stretchy but in the show they change it that she is basically green lantern but purple. I was not a huge fan of that. The show is primarily focused for a more younger generation so not everyone will find like the show it's like a 50/50 if you will like it. Iman Vellani does an excellent job playing Kamala she really shows off Kamala's nerdy side and how she just wants to be herself.

Overall it's not a bad show but it is really focussed on a younger audience.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker (2019)

What a mess of a movie.

When it's discovered that the evil Emperor Palpatine did not die at the hands of Darth Vader, the rebels must race against the clock to find out his whereabouts. Finn and Poe lead the Resistance to put a stop to the First Order's plans to form a new Empire, while Rey anticipates her inevitable confrontation with Kylo Ren.

Now when I first saw the movie I had a hard time actually paying attention to the movie. I didn't find it being engaging enough. Not to mention the writing for the movie was horrible. With characters all over the place and so much going on it's hard to to keep up with all of it. Somehow they made Palpatine come back and they ended up making him the big bad guy of the Trilogy instead of Kylo Ren or Snoke characters that had a lot of potential. But they do make the movie nostalgic that's why they bring back Leia, Han, Luke and Lando and even Palpatine for that one reason it's nostalgic to us fans. The visuals and CGI are amazing to look at as always!

Daisy Ridley Is more confidence in her as Rey. John Boyega and Oscar Isaac are charismatic and funny and they do their best for what they were given. Ian McDiarmid is amazing as Palpatine. And Kylo Ren is more likeable in this movie out of the other 2.

Overall I think Star Wars has hit the end the last 2 movies we got haven't been the best and are big disappointments.
