Murder in the Woods (2017)
Not a fan
I gave it 3 stars for Danny Trejo's part....other than him this movie is not good.
29 Needles (2019)
Amazingly dark debut!
I watch A LOT of what most would consider extreme horror, and one of my biggest complaint it that they focus on the gore. Ignoring that either the actors suck or there isn't really a story to support the extreme gore. 29 Needles fixes this problem. Not only is the gore on point, but the story is well written and the cast is awesome! This is one body horror movie that isn't gross for gross sake. It actually has a purpose and meaning behind it. This is the directors/writers first film.....I can't wait for the next one!
Death Stop Holocaust (2009)
Finally a truly brutal slasher
Nothing ground breaking here, just some killers in masks totally brutalizing people..... it damn it if this isn't one of my favorite movies of 2009. This low budget shocker is a love letter to the 70's grindhouse slashers. Some of the acting is a little weak but it is forgivable because the movie hauls ass. Definitely not a slow burn. I really liked it a lot.
She Walks the Woods (2019)
Not sure what movie these reviewers saw.
I can't believe all the hate reviews on here. I thought She Walks the Woods was awesome!!!! Sure it's low budget and I did have some minor about it overall it totally work for me. I have seen at least 10 movies that were 100 times worse and they all had bigger budgets. This is one of my favorite found footage movies! I can't wait to get the blu ray.
Between the Darkness (2019)
Some families are stranger than others.
Started out as a psychological drama about an isolated family with some very strange religious beliefs but has enough twists and turns to keep you guessing til the end. Are monsters real, or are humans the real monsters. I was expecting a little more horror but over all it was an excellent movie. Awesome cinematography, good cast and a pretty decent ending.
Hell House LLC III: Lake of Fire (2019)
Best way to end a great trilogy!!
I am a huge fan of this movie series. The first one is by far my favorite found footage movie EVER! Loved part two as well, so when I heard that they were making a part three I was mildly excited but generally part 3's of any movie series usually sucks. Not is the case with Hell House LLC III Lake of Fire. Great acting, tight script and some truly disturbing footage makes Lake of Fire and awesome end to one of the best horror trilogies ever!!
Cherokee Creek (2018)
The best Bigfoot movie EVER!!
This movie is insane and I LOVED it! I usually don't like horror/comedies because they are either too light on the horror or too light on the comedy. Cherokee Creek is just enough of each, plenty of practical FX which is always a plus, great chemistry between the actors and an unusual script that keeps you guessing as to "what kind of movie is this" until the end. And even then it's not spoon fed to you. Definitely a great movie to put on if your having a party.
The Forgotten (1973)
One of the great "Don't " movies from that era.
Don't Look in the Basement aka the Forgotten was a grindhouse film from 1973. A new nurse heads to an isolated asylum that has an unconventional approach to therapy. This begins the movies decent into Hell. This is one of my favorites! Decent acting, good tension and a twist before it was cool to have twists in your movies.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
Greatest horror movie ever made!
Needless to say Tobe Hooper's classic is and always will be my favorite horror movie EVER! Between the unknown actors, the low budget and the tight shooting schedule one would think this is going to be a disaster. Far from it, in fact all those factors added up to make the most real, gritty horror flick of the 70's. Gunnar Hansen was amazing as the lumbering psychopath Leatherface. Over the 45 years of it's release I have seen the full movie at least 600 times and I still pop it in at least 4 times a year. I love this movie from beginning to end and any self respecting horror fan should watch it at least once.
