Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
It does a lot of what the first one does
The great: obviously visually it's masterful. It's fun to see how far CGI and special effects has come. The end fight scene was fun to watch.
The good: Jake sully does have a hot wife.
The okay: the script is okay but very predictable. I went in and left with 0 expectation that Jake Sully would die or even come close to death. And sure enough he went John wick and obliterated 100s of marines.
The bad: the motivation for why the colonel (or sergeant I don't remember) has for finding only Jake Sully. And why he has an easy time committing mass genocide but can't keep a hold on to the children.
The ugly: what the heck is up with slide saving his homocidal maniac father? My goodness I haven't seen a more cop out, this movie was just a setup for the next, move in a movie in awhile. What did we achieve?
Running the Bases (2022)
last Christian movie I'll watch
I went into this movie with 0 expectations, it was at the movie theatre, so I went. This movie makes most hallmark movies look like the Shawshank redemption.
The good: it will make you laugh, even if it is laughing at it for the most part. Oh also the part where they send the protagonist to jail.
The bad: the acting at points is so cheesy and corny that it is at times very hard to watch. Of course the antagonist of the movie is someone who is anti-Bible. This movie is going to most likely cringe anyone out who is under 50 and even most Christian's will find this unwatchable.
The ugly: I don't know why it seems like every single one of these movies has to end it by everyone cheering and clapping in a position that makes 0 sense. Also the baseball that is played looks horrible, they couldn't even get some real talent or special effects apparently.
